Hito wo Narae ( Smash Hit Anime)

I just finished watching Smash Hit. It's about a teenage looking female producer who dreams of one day creating her own detective series. But before she could obtain her dream, she has to help create the Cosprayers, who at first she had been reluctant to produce. At first, her colleagues had mocked her for her size and kawaii looks. But eventually, they grew to respect her as she conquers more obstacles. It's an eight episode series having a satisfying ending. It's not much since there's no romance, and you can compare it more to a feel-good movie with its approximately 2 hours length.

Moral of the story, everyone's dream is entrusted to us and we constantly give them an outlook on how it'll end up. Nothing can be done alone. (as quoted from Kureme a.k.a Mr. Dracula).


During the entire series, a whole lot of underwear shots were taken and it somehow has a sense of light perversion on its theme. But nonetheless, it was good for killing time.

Kurikinton Fox, I Like

This morning I woke up in a really bad mood. And I did scream, rant in my room and throw away some stuff that we're all a clutter because someone made my morning bad. To lessen my destructive forces from lashing out all over the house, I took a broom and a dustpan and swept my entire floor which hasn't been cleaned for ages. But even with that cleaning, I was still angry.

When I am angry, one thing that'd make me calm down is music. Not the smooth sailing ones, the hiphop-ish or even the all-cussing ones, just loud music. So what I did was click on the the playlist I have stored in my computer of Guitar Hero 3 songs like Through the Fire and Flames, Paint It Black, Prayer of the Refugee,Radio song, Black Sunshine, etc.

While listening to the songs I normally play every time I need to be distracted, I remembered how I loved listening to Kurikinton Fox's God Knows. So if you're a fan of Haruhi Suzumiya's God Knows, you should definitely listen to this.

He's an awesome guitar player, and if you like listening to guitar covers, you'll definitely be a fan of this guy. He usually plays game background & anime music. If it's fast and from a game console or from an anime, expect him to have played it.

Even his album Foxy Code, sounded more like BGMs from games like Megaman. I bet his playing was highly influenced by such.

With all his skills, you'd think he'd show his face to the world. But what's funny and more intriguing about this guy is he prefers keeping himself behind a fox mask.

Kurikinton Fox is a Japanese guitar player known for always performing in a mask, this mask is handmade and one of a kind, but they're easy to make. My Guy....

While we were going to work (my work, my boyfriend just brings me to work and stays there for the duration of my duty), we were discussing about the perils of me not being independent enough to support my own whims. My sisters have been ganging up on me-unconsciously- about finding a better paying job because I may end up someday regretting not taking advantage of my youth in grabbing employment opportunities.

I had to post something... Once again, most of the pictures and videos I posted in my blog are not mine so credits goes to the owner or maker of this one.

But as I've said, I have to sacrifice one for the other. It's either I get a high paying highly competitive stressful corporate job or I do away with the large salary and tempting incentives for the freedom that I currently have. I chose the latter.

Back to our primary topic. Since I told him that my brother-in-law used to spend all his month's salary in calling my sister everyday when they were far from each other (since cellular phones weren't invented yet), he asked me if I were asked by my sisters about him, what qualities would I tell them that would make him stand out.

My guy... this is something you should ask yourself too. What does your guy do that makes him so special?

My guy...

• Takes care of me when I'm sick, literally. He takes the day off 'til I get better.

• Brings me food when he knows I'm in a bad mood.
• Buys me Twix... I LOVE TWIX
• Bears with my annoyances like when I used one tune for more than 5 sets of lyrics.

Not my video, it took me like an hour to search for the exact tune that repeated itself in my head. This is from Clannad After Story. Beneath this is the video clip where I got the song.

This tune annoyed him so much. Eventually he succumbs to the power of Dango and started humming it too.

• Bought me a bouquet of roses and a venti cup of mochaccino frappé because he thought I was extremely mad at him for making me wait for more than an hour. I went out of the office building and there I saw him waiting in the corner with his gifts.
• Plays Tales of Pirates with me (MMORPG)
• Allows me to spend our money on my character in Tales of Pirates.
• Takes care of my character in Tales of Pirates before his.

Note: I am not encouraging you to spend money on online games because it is not something you could invest on. However, on our end, this is my only past time which is why I decided to allot a very small amount of my salary to buy mall items.

• Cooks delicious spaghetti!
• Is PATIENT with me
• Is understanding
• LOVES ME SO MUCH
• Does his best to comfort me during my depression even when he knows his attempts are futile.

This is how depression feels.

• Supports me in the stories I write. He even pitches his ideas to make it better.
• Is OPTIMISTIC
• Still thinks I'm sexy even when I've grown some pounds.
• Shares great conversations with me.
• Takes me to movies I like.
• Is nice and respectful to my mom even when she pisses him off.
• Bought me a laptop because he knows I can't live without one ^_^
• Always thinks I'm charming and cute.

He probably pictures me looking like this in his mind.

• Has that loving look.
• Is so smart!!!
• Is confident. He seldom becomes insecure or jealous. He knows I love him... ^_^
• Has never dictated my actions. He understands that I know my boundaries.
• Does not see my Ex as a threat. They talk as if they're friends.
• Had the ring he gave me engraved with our unconventional motto.
• Is God-Fearing.
• Helps me in doing laundry.
• Does house chores whenever he's at my home (cleaning my room, doing my bed, washing the dishes, buying containers filled with 5 gallons of mineral water for household consumption and more).
• Deals with my being a perfectionist.

During occurences of male non-responsiveness, you know what to do... Just don't go for the kill.

Wow! and that's not half of it. Of course, he has his flaws too. But why bother thinking about them when his flaws are compensated by his attributes. Yes, we DO fight but the happiness I have experienced with him all this years outweighs all the petty arguments and misunderstandings we encounter everyday.

Manga Mania: Suki and Confidential Confessions

The first time I started reading manga seriously was a couple of months ago (it's in my blog). I love purchasing them and enjoying every single page of one of the most graphically fulfilling paperwork in this entire world. It takes a lot to make one. You'd need talent and a whole lot of imagination to be able to successfully complete an entire volume.

Some of the mangas (I'm not sure of its plural) I'd definitely recommend are the following. I will spare the details to minimize spoiling the curiosity of searching for one in a bookstore.

1. Tramps Like Us a.k.a Kimi Wa Pet- (14 Volumes) Romance; Contrary to its suggestive title, it's actually a cute not-so ordinary love story between an older woman , a mature guy and a talented boy who's her pet (above 18).
2. Suki- (3 Volumes) Another romantic weird relationship between a naive girl and her teacher. If you're familiar with the works of Clamp, this a definite must read.
3. Crescent Moon- (5 Volumes) A girl who encounters a tribe of demons. My nieces love the drawings and the graphics are detailed.
4. Dream Saga - (5 Volumes) Like Card Captor Sakura, work of art by Megumi Tachikawa too. It's about a little girl she catches a red magic stone that mysteriously falls from the sky. My nieces love this one too.
5. Confidential Confessions - (Unsure) The manga deals with many of the hard-hitting issues that teens face today. It's very brutal but it actually has good lessons to teach. This has mature content all over.

Anyway, some of these titles are difficult to find since they are quite expensive (prices range from 160 php to 500 php, National Bookstore used to sell it at 79 php then at 50% off a little later but that was just something that happened once). Unpatterned Cross Stitch

I had been working on a certain image for some time now (Because I wasn't the type who finishes projects immediately. It usually takes me a year or more to complete a cross stitch pattern, no matter how small it is.)

Anyway, a couple of years ago (when anime patterns were very limited and difficult to find), I decided to make my own. Of course, without the sophistication of any cross stitch assisting software or help from an expert.

Last night, I finally finished my first chibi anime pattern which I had painstakingly placed my effort upon since I had to decide the colors I had to use as well as refining each single detail of the shapes. Using paint to place a grid on the image made me realize that it was very hard to sculpt the curves in the picture.

This was supposed to be my birthday gift to Abi, my boyfriend, but he already left for the province.

Note: Abi, if you're checking my blog, hope you like your very very late present. Love need no pattern to be beautiful. Creativity at its fullest appears when boundaries are established without strict limitations.

Moral of the Blog: I know many of us love starting projects without finishing them. It's okay to take a rest from it once in awhile. It doesn't matter whether you finish it as soon as you've started it or not, just as long as you find time to complete them.

The Hunting Must Stop: Manga Books

A week ago we were at SM Marikina to hunt for a book my sister was dying to buy. Unfortunately to her dismay, it was out of stock. She was looking for Thirst 2 by Christopher Pike. It had gone "out-of-stock" during this time. We've actually read these books in the past (when they were still individually binded and not compiled 3 at a time), but it felt somewhat better to own one.

While I and my nieces were browsing through the 50% off priced books. We came to stumble upon tons of manga at 39.50 php only. I skimmed through them for good titles and was able to decide on purchasing Tokyopop: Confidential Confessions 4. I'm glad I did, it had good content in it. It's a series of stories about the some situations teenagers nowadays get into such as bullying, sexual compensation and even homosexual relationships (It was rated OT short for Older Teen due to its mature content.).

Due to my "life-changing" UBER wonderful experience in reading that manga, I couldn't resist finding the other volumes of the series. I searched through 3 more National Bookstores to find that particular manga but couldn't find any. During which, I found other great titles that I started to grab and pay for in the counter.

The fevered search did not stop here. Two days later, I once again went to search for more manga in other branches- bought one here, bought three there. It didn't matter that my feet were killing me or that there were instances that it got really cold due the air conditioning- not to mention the heavy pouring rain. I just had to get all the good ones (Didn't matter if it were only one volume per title).

Yesterday, I went to two more malls with three National Bookstores in them. I couldn't resist fishing out my wallet upon finding more manga titles which I had not found in the other 7 branches I went to. It felt like finding diamonds in a gold mine.

Doing the National Bookstore pseudo manga hoard wasn't enough for me to be contented. I had to buy one of the expensive ones in Book Sale to get the third volume of Dream Saga. It was four times more expensive than the regular 50% off ones I get from National Bookstore. But hey, at least I got what I wanted.

By the end of the day, I was limping due to the long walks from mall to mall. To top it off, there was this commotion in SM North Edsa that made it very crowded. Before we were able to reach the MRT, my boyfriend and I decided to do a detour at the taxi bay. For those who aren't aware of it yet, some taxis already have the pretty meter which gives out receipts.

Moral of this article: None. I guess I just wanted to remember the feeling when I used to go book hunting alone for 4 to 5 hours every weekend.
