The Lazada (lazada.com.ph) Buying Experience

I was a little hesitant on doing my first online purchase. I've done EBAY and Sulit, but never before have I purchased from an online shop... so Lazada was a first for me.

The Lazada Shopping Experience

I browsed through Lazada with one thing in mind... the much-coveted Cherry Mobile Flare Android phone which they were selling at 3,999 php (discounted at 26% from the original price). Yesterday we came across a Cherry Mobile kiosk and much to our dismay, they were selling the Flare at 4,499 php (or was it 4,599 php). Fortunately for me, I had already done my ordering. (Product Status: Pending ^^)

I would've posted my invoice, but I forgot to do so due to the excitement.

The Lazada Shipping Experience

I ordered the CM Flare phone last Sunday, January 13, 2013 at about 9 or 10 in the evening. I received it at about 4 PM today (January 15, 2013).  Not bad for a 5-day waiting period, don't you think?

The box is sealed with a white sticker etched with the word "VOID". Once you remove that sticker, the word "VOID" will remain on box thereby giving customers the assurance that it was not opened or tampered with.
So mine was delivered at my door step and I paid upon delivery.

I got my phone in good fully-functional condition (so far, so good). And I just love it (for its price, performance, and my online shopping experience, anyway!).

What you see is what you get! No hidden charges or issues with mishandling.

So just remember, to keep that tax invoice and consignee slip in case something "undesirable" happens (I dare not to mention!).

  2. WAH! Lucky you! Even if it's priced 4,499 php at the kiosks, most were sold out! My bf was planning to buy one for his mom. Won't Lazada go bankrupt over low prices like this? lol

  3. I've seen the new batch sold in Blue Wave, Marikina but they're no longer priced at 3999.

    I'm not surprised though. After 2 days upon receiving my Flare, Lazada took the page down because they were out of stock.

    LOL I doubt they'll go bankrupt.

  4. Do you think they sell original gadgets? I am also planning to buy but I am having doubts...

    1. If you're in doubt, you could always check the reviews. I haven't heard of complains with regard to them selling fakes. Their guarantees for gadgets are usually on the  manufacturer's end, so you could always inquire whether Lazada is in fact an official distributor.

      As for my Cherry Mobile Flare, it doesn't get as original as this.

      However, I always advise people to not take my word for it alone. For me, Lazada was great, but then again, I've also heard some complains about them so make sure to check other posts out.

  5. I like how Cherry mobile is being marketed by Lazada. I bought a cherry mobile thunder from them. Quite honestly, they offer cherry mobile products at a lower price compared to mall prices which is off the roof

    1. That's true. Kasi palagi siyang nakadiscount and sometimes, even when Cherry Mobile raises the prices of certain products, Lazada hardly changes theirs until a new batch arrives to them. Hopefully they keep it up. So far, my Cherry Mobile is still working well.

  6. Mine, my experience was not that good. Up to now, I can't hear any update from them regarding my return item. I ordered for a Buffalo Airstation High Powered Dual Band Wifi Router and they sent me a different specs of router so I returned it. Every time I call their customer service hotline they keep on saying that they will follow it up to their back office. I tried to talk to their manager but their CS says that their only access to Lazada's return department is thru email only. I have emailed them a couple of times and still I receive the same answer, they will follow it up. I returned the item September 12 and up to now, September 25, 2013, I didn't receive any replacement of the wrong item that they sent. Nakaka-asar lang kasi hindi nila agad2 inaasikaso ang issue. Ngayon natatakot ako na baka mangyari din sa akin ang nangyari sa friend ko na hanggang ngayon ang defective na item na binalik nya last September 2 e hindi pa napapalitan. Tagal na non at ayoko ng ganon! I will never order from them and I personally will not recommend it to my friends to save them from trouble of stress and inconvenience I experienced from LazadaPH.

    1. I can understand where you are coming from. Yung Lazada kasi, pachambahan rin. If you get a good item, you're set for life. Pero if not, it's stressful and hassle talaga.

      I actually almost sent the Cherry Mobile Flare back to them because I thought it had something in the camera area. But then I decided not to because I couldn't contact their phone. Fortunately naman, walang sira yung Flare.

      On my part, I can say that the buying experience was easy. Yun ngalang, I have yet to comment on their After Sales kasi hindi ko pa naexperience first hand.

  7. may makakapagsabi ba dito o ma verify nila na fake yung item na na purchase nila and if they did, what will the solution to it?

    1. So far, wala pa naman akong may mabalitaan na fake yung item. Most complaints are for wrong item sent or defective and lack of after sales assitance

  8. im planning kasi to buy galasy s5 thru credit card and im very hesitant baka fake ung mabili ko..any assurance here?

    1. IMO po, I think it's better to buy an S5 sa mall kasi pag may sira, hindi maganda yung after sales ng Lazada. Back when I thought my Flare was defective, I tried calling them. Pero di ko talaga sila macontact, so I decided to cancel my plans of shipping it to them. Fortunately, dust speck lang yung nakapasok sa camera lens.
