Is Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company Inc's (PPLIC) LABB PLUS Refundable?

As of April 22, 2014 at 12:16 a.m., someone was kind enough to post these comments in "STOP Buying Philippine Prudential Life Insurance C...". Latest update was on February 7, 2015.

I'd like to personally thank Theresa, dimakahindi, and the other Anons for keeping us updated and informed regarding their request for a refund on Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company Inc's LABB Plus.

PLEASE READ THROUGH THE COMMENTS (inside this post and beneath it) BEFORE ASKING HOW THEY CANCELLED THEIR LABB PLUS. NANDYAN LANG LAHAT NG HINAHANAP NYO.

Hi guys, naibalik na sakin yung LABBPLUS worth 4500! Pinacancel ko xa Oct. 21 then cancelled na xa ng Nov. 3, hinintay ko lang yung bill just to make sure na wala na nga xa, tsaka wala po akong processing fee, yung iba kasi may nababasa ako na hihingan daw nun.. Ayun, share ko lang, Happy kasi ako eh.. hehe sana maibalik din nila agad yung mga nakulimbat nila sainyo.. Basta agapan nyo lang po, tas kulitin nyo sila ng kulitin para maicancel at maibalik na pera nyo...

Hi Haopee, naibalik na po sakin nung Nov. 3 pa, hindi na nirequire ng bank na magsend ako ng kahit anung docs sakanila, kasi 100% sure na cancelled na daw yun! at wala pa processing fee..ayun napakasaya ko lang.. hehe salamat sa tulong po nyo :)

I had my Endownment plan and LABB PLUS cancelled yesterday. Thank you for all the tips I got from this blog. Sa mga na biktima din ng PPLIC, check nyo lang lahat ng comments and mga links na meron dito sa blog, sobrang helpful. Another tip pag magpapacancel kayo always have a back up whether if it is your parents, close friends and relatives. Makakatulong sila sa iyo lalo na pag pinag aralan din nila yung mga policies sa contract mo. Tandaan nyo MAY LABAN KAYO! Wag kayo papadala sa non refundable na LABB PLUS na yan kasi hindi totoo yan. May 15 day grace period ang bawat policy ng insurance. NASA BATAS NA YAN. Hopefully makuha ko na within 30-45 days yung pera ko. hindi ako papayag na hindi nila ibibgay lahat. Just make sure na nakuha nyo ung statement of account ng both endownment and LABB plus plan nyo, photocopy nung letter of cancellation na ginawa nyo kasama yung written confirmation na nagsasabi kung kailan mo makukuha yung pera. Mas maganda kung papa photocopy nyo ung ID nung kung sino mang kumakausap sa inyo. Kung sila nga nakakapag request ng id nyo para pa photocopy paano pa kaya tayo d ba? MORE POWER SA BLOG NA ITO!

Guys, narefund din yung LABB+ at endowment ko. so may pag-asa. Sasabihin talaga nila na hindi refundable yung LABB+ (kasi yung endowment may 15-day look out period). Kaya magsesend kayo ng letter of reconsideration for cancellation sa email nila (lagay nyo yung reason. yung akin kasi hindi ko alam na may rider na kasama in the form of LABB plus yung ENdowment ko. so bayad ko na bago nila inexplain na non-refundable yon. so sabi ko this is a violation of contract kasi may concealment silang ginawa). Sa head office yon. i-cc nyo na lang din yung email nyo sa insurance commission (nasa site nila yung email add nila). Anyway, after nyo magsend ng letter tumawag kayo sa main office nila (wag mainip kasi sobrang laging busy. redial lang ng redial). iconfirm nyo sa head office nila kung natanggap nila yung inemail nyo. after non, follow-up lang kayo lagi (by phone lang ako kasi may trabaho ako.) then, tatawag sila sa inyo kapag cancelled na yung plan. Papupuntahin nila kayo sa branch kung saan kayo nag-avail to surrender yung documents. DOn't forget to get your SOA na may nakalagay na cancelled with refund. Yun nga lang may bawas na P250 pesos yung ibabalik nila. after nyan w8 kayo tas follow up lang ulit kasi natagal bago nila naibalik yung akin. around 20 working days (meaning di pa bilang yung Sat at sun plus holiday). so sobrang tagal.

Ang time line ko ay, March 21 nag-avail ako. March 22, nagpacancel ako then send ng email of cacellation for LABB plus. Then follow-up na lang sa head office every two days. April 1, nakatanggap ako ng tawag na okay na. Cancelled na yung LABB PLus. May 5 ata o 8 naibalik yung pera ko (ang tagal). As for my endowment cancelled na agad sya nung March 22 pa lang pero nabalik pera ko around May 23-25 ata.

Hello! This is Antonette. PPLIC called me last night and told me that they already cancelled my LABB Plus. I just have to return the documents they gave me when I bought the plan. They told me that there is a Php 250.00 processing fee so Php 4250 would be returned to me. They told me that my money will be returned after 30-45 days.I told them it's okay as long as I can have my money back. After office, I'll go there to return the documents. 
I don't know how they were convinced to cancel my plan. I just gave them a cancellation letter 6 days after I bought the plan. It stated in my letter the rights I have as their client according to the Insurance Code. I even mentioned Title 4, Sections 26-27 which they violated. Maybe they found my reasons valid and was convinced to cancel the plan even though their contract stated that it was non-refundable.

hi all, Theresa here.. i have received an email from IC, they sent a letter to pplic requesting for refund on my behalf kaso tagal bago sila ngsend. then i just got my labb plus refund amounting to 4250 last april12. keypoint to get this is be firm na IC said this is refundable, its better kun sabay sabay kayo punta sa HO ng PPLIC wag sa SM north ave. okay din na lahat kau punta sa office IC nang makita nila ganu karami ang biktima.

Hi. I would like share my experience.
The day was December 7, 2014. I was walkingaround farmers plaza when a girl approached me. She asked if I am already working and if I have a credit card. I said yes. Sabi nya may promo daw sila sa company and if I want to join, saglit lang naman daw and I would really help her if I would say "yes" to their orientation which is going to take about 45mins To cut the long story short, I said yes and she asked me to follow her on their office in gateway, I thought 45mins lang talaga but lumagpas na ng 45 mins, they're not allowing me to go. Everytime that I said no, the agent keeps on offering me a new plan. By that time, I feel pressured. sabi ko ayoko gumawa ng decision in a short span of time since I want to think about it more. Pero di pa rin sya tumigil until such time na nag offer na sya ng mas mababang policy, the LABB PLUS. dahil sa nakulitan na ako sa kanya, I said yes. pero labag talaga sa loob ko yun. After that, dun palang ako nakaalis (after signing the papers and video confirmation), 
The next day, I wrote an email to the insurance commission stating that I felt forced to avail the paln that I never wanted to get in the first place. I explained how the agent tre\ted me. I did not receive a reply until #rd week of February 2015. Someone called me and said she was from the head office of Philippine Prudential. She said she was able to receive an email from the Insurance Commission from which attached my email. We discussed about how I was able to avail the policy and my experience. I told her na di na ako nag eexpect na makauha ng refund and my only concern is the way their agents are offering their prospective clients their policy. Matagal kami nag usap mga more than 30 mins siguro. then finally, she informed me that she would review my case (she will check the video confirmation, papers, etc) and will call me as soon as possible kung ano kakalabasan. Yesterday, March 9, 2015, naka tanggap ako ng tawag. Informing me that my request for cancellation for my policy has been approved. I would just submit to the all the papers that I have signed and bring with my cancellation letter. 30-45 days daw before ma refund yung pera ko which is P4,500.

    2. Hi all! I have the same problem with you but the thing is yung cousin ko ung nag avail last January 13, 2015. then she went back na to SG. Mag isa lang kasi sya nag mall nun kya sumama sya para di mpahiya ung agent.Sinabi sakanya she can use her credit card since installment naman daw then she found out the chnarged sakanya straight. yung labb plus and endowment. sinabi sknya nung agent na tatawagan sya ng bdo pra iconfirm ung payment terms na gusto nya. sinungaling na agent. Gusto nya mag insurance para masecure sya, then lolokohin ka. Gusto nya na icancel na. Kaso nasa singapore na sya ulet. Tmwag ako sa Head office nila then ang sabi saken kailngan yung mismong owner ang mag cacancel personally. Ang sabi pa e umuwe daw ulet yung pinsan para icancel. Nakakaines. Ilan beses ko sya binalikan that Zyla Garcia from the head office pero paulit ulit nya snabi nakikipag communicate daw sya sa smf kng san naavail yung insurance. pinagawa yung pinsan ko ng SPA na may red ribbon daw fromSG na pinaikot ikot ko sya hnd nya maexplain ng maayos. mukhang d nya alam snsabi nya. since may work ako, hnd ako mkapunta sa smf. pero this saturdady ppnta na ako dun at dpat icancel na nila. wag na nila daanin sa kng anu2x. Sana maging okay. Paadvise naman kng ano dpat sabihin since hnd kasi ako ung policy owner.

  3. gawa ka ng cancelation leter sulat mo pina ka valid reason.pag dinila tangapin punta ka ic,tapos ang ic tatawag sa main office sa concern mo at pbalikin ka nila sa branch kung san mo na avail ang lb plus daw.naa sekaso konayan wait daw ako 30 to45 wrking days.

  4. nag pasa ako ng cancellation letter with back up letter of appel para sa ic kung di nila tanggapin ang leter of cancellation merun mga names ng agent nila at naka indicate dun na kung pano nila ako pina decisyun after presentation in 45 munits dun yan sa letter of apeal para sa ic.

  5. Guys please help. Gusto ko din marefund ang labb plus ko. I just bought it yesterday but parang di talaga ako komportable. Paano ba gumawa ng letter of cancellation? Need ba notarized talaga? Feeling ko kasi o was pressured to make a decision right then and there after the almost 2 hour presentation. Help naman please :((

  6. hello every body na cancell na po yung llab plus ko binigyan ako ng statement of account stated their cancel with refund.yung naka dcisyun agad na gsto mag refund ng llab plus nyu.mag submit kayo ng letter of cancellment.kasi may grace period po tayo ng 15 days according to insurance commision.sa 15 days nayan sapat tayo mag isip kung patoloy natin o hndi.dapat naka stated nyu dun ang reason bakit nyu pa cancel.30 to 45 working days po yan ma refund.

  9. kahit mag sabi sila na naka lagay dun nun refundable.wag kayo maniwala sa kanila.empleyado lang sila tawag kayo sa ic at kunin nyu yung name ng agent kung d nila tinanggap ang cancelation leter.sinabi nila yan na hndi na pwedi ma refund.baka kasi mahena loob nyu maniwala pa kayo.insist nyu may 15 days grace period sabi ng ic.

  10. hindi na kailangan pa notarized.wag kayo maniwala na non refundable yan kahit naka lagay pa yan dun sa policy nila.sinabi nila yan baka maniwala pa kayo na refundable tama sabi nya na sabi ng insurance comission may grace period pa tayo mag isip.di lang nila sinabi sa atin nung nag swife gamit ang atm natin.tsaka lang nila pinakita pagkatapos ng swife na nun refundable cya.dapat sinabi nila na may 15 days na pwedi ma cancel kung interested talaga tayo.or tawag kayo sa main branch nila.

  12. Hi..actually ngkuha rin kami ng labb plus kahapon. Papacancel sana kami kanina pero hindi nla tinanggap yung letter of cancellation namin. Sabi hindi pwedeng ma.refund ang labb plus like regular/endowment life plan. She pointed also that we have signed the declaration which indicates a non-refundable. May we ask for any help on how to go about this? We're from cagayan de oro city.

    2. Hi Anon... Sorry, I just read your message. The good news is hindi pa kayo lagpas ng 15 days grace period.

      Secondly, if naswipe na yung card mo bago ka nila nainform na non-refundable sya, you could contest na that is a form of consumer deception. If nabasa nyo po yung buong blog post, you will see this comment from another Anon. " It stated in my letter the rights I have as their client according to the Insurance Code.       Third, pag di pa rin nila tinanggap yung letter mo, ask assistance sa Insurance Commission. Be firm and good luck.

    1. Hi. Hope naprocess nyo na po yung cancellation nyo. Check out the post and some of the comments on this blog tsaka sa Battle with PPLIC na article. Marami din kasing mga comments dun na nag eexplain kung anong mga steps ginawa nila para macancel nila.

    1. Lagpas na po kasi sya ng 15 days, kaya baka di na marefund. Kaya nga parang unfair sa mga naunang kumuha kasi refundable pala pero they failed to disclose this information (or they lied to the consumer by saying it was actually refundable). You can try asking about it sa IC.

    1. Well, masmaganda pa rin talaga pag naterminate mo sya officially. Kasi baka magkalegality problems ka sa bandang huli. As for your savings naman, you can inform BDO na i-unauthorize na yung pagkaltas ng PPLIC, pero they might require you go to PPLIC pa rin.

  17. update lang po. i got my 13,500 back last aug 4.refund yun ng LABB plus. it took almost a month but at least nai-balik. ang wierd lang na may bigla akong natangap na text na may free gift kuno na reward package from PPLIC that i could claim until aug 9.i wasn't interested kaya di na ako nag-reply.baka panibagong patibong na naman nila yun.anyway, happy na ako.i really can't trust this company anymore kahit gaano pa sila ka-legitimate.

    3. Sinasabi talaga nila na hindi pwede irefund yung LABB PLUS but the truth is there is no such thing as no refund sa insurance policy as long as you follow the grace period.

      Mas maganda sana kung may sinama ka na relative mo(yung tipong papatay ng tao yung mukha). Na intimidate ka siguro kaya hindi mo na pinaglaban.

      Habang hindi pa lagpas 15 days mo habulin mo pa. Kaya pa yan. Kung ako nga na refund ko yung labb plus ko eh paano pa kaya ikaw hindi ba?

    1. Basta pasok pa po sya sa 15 days na look-up period, you should immediately drop by the PPLIC office to have it cancelled.

    1. When po kayo nagpacancel? How many days has it been since you first agreed to the policy? What is your policy? Nag-email ka lang ba or nagpunta ka talaga sa PPLIC?

      To be honest, I don't know how long the LABB Plus look-up period is, but most of the comments here suggest na basta pasok po sa 15-day look-up period yung plan nyo e.g. as of posting this message, you signed your policy within the dates August 2-15, then dapat pwede yan.

    2. Hi, I have a friend po na may Endowment Policy ng PPLIC.Last May 15,2013 po yung effectivity so mga 45k plus na po contribution nya thru credit card up to date. He is in Canada. He called yesterday sabi po ang cash surrender value nya kung kukunin nya dahil almost one year na is 7,000.Please advise us po.

    3. I have seen their sample Endowment Policy contract. Insurance amount lang is 175,000 na makukuha mo as living benefit after 15yrs (Maturity Date) which is napaka baba versus sa amount na binayaran mo as Initial Premium. Sa initial Premium estimating 23,107 plang pede kana makakuha ng worth 500K Life Insurance with Disability 500K and Critical Illness 250K benefit.

    4. Ouch. Anlaki nung kinaltas nila sa friend nyo po. Bat 7k lang? Pero kung sa bagay, kahit 39k yung binayaran ko, my endowment policy was about 1.5 years old na... kaya about 1/3 yung equivalent cash value nya. Sadly, we can't change the amount na makukuha ng friend nyo po. It's a very very expensive financial lesson. Ganyan kasi yung patakaran nila for termination.

      Before they had me sign, they showed me their cash value chart. I computed it and based my decision on that... it was very low but I thought it was a risk worth taking because I didn't know better. I think it would be best for your friend to terminate his plan, but there are others who still continue with theirs.

      And I totally agree with you. Ang baba ng ROI nila. That's one of the reasons na I was a little disappointed with the plan. Of course, the main reason that I still terminated is because I couldn't afford continuing it.

    1. I'm sorry to hear this. Please make sure na pasok po sya sa 15-day look-up period. Basta, if bago pa lang sya nakuha (e.g. less than a week), you should be able to have it refunded. Tawag po kayo ng I.C. Most of the people who got their refunds went to the PPLIC office talaga (yung iba nga, pumunta pa ng IC to get more information). As mentioned, if pasok pa sa 15-days, call I.C. and ask for assistance. Kahit lang makakuha ka ng information if ano yung possible violations nila, it would help you make a better argument. Tapos padala mo yung sulat mo personally.

      P.S. baka binago na nila yan ng 7 days... pero seriously, yung items nga ng SM, pwede mabalik basta pasok ng 7 days, yung insurance pa kaya?!?

      From what I've read from other blogs, there is a POSSIBLE chance na mabawi mo pa yung pera mo kahit lagpas kana sa 15 day period. Yun nga lang matinding labanan ang mangyayari dyan. I think mas maganda kung may makakasabay ka na victim din na katulad mo para lumapit kayo sa IC at bigay nyo yung statement nyo of how you want a refund from your policy.

      Nakikita ko naman na may na rerefund na pera kapag talaga pinaglabanan mo marefund yung binayad mo eh. Totoo yung sinasabi nila na "Fight for what is rightfully yours"

I am Financial Advisor. 15 Days period is what they call the cooling off period, where you can refund whatever it is na nabayaran mo.Akala kasi ng ibang tao, when the agent would say "you can refund".iniisip yung whole amount na naicontribute mo.For an Insurance product, Kung ipupull out mo ang policy mo, you can just get the CSV o Cash Surrender Value.     4. In the case of Prudential, I can say na the Products are Okay but the confidence/trust sa company is not 100% na lalo pa't andaming mga complaints. I know because I have a friend who got an Insurance from Prudential and He don't know anymore kung sino servicing agent nya but the only thing na naremember niya is "He could refund if magcacancel na siya."So it is important for a person who would like to get an Insurance to know the product you're getting into,check the company profile (not just their website) but also through IC (Insurance Commission) and compare products. Upon seeing the Endowment Policy of Prudential mas mababa ang Insurance amount niya at 175k versus sa mga 500k-1Million with same amount of Annual Premium. Whatever state of life we are into (Rich/Middle/Poor) we need an Insurance especially Life Insurance for Income Continuation for unforseen events na alam nating mangyayari pero hindi natin alam kung kailan.     5. Hi Lou. Thanks. It's true. That was one of the things that I've realized nung time na I was hard on cash. Tinanong ko sarili ko if it was worth it na icontinue ko yung plan na naka dalawang late payment ako. Then, I realized that ang baba talaga nung returns nila. For five years, the policy owner will be paying a total of 150k. After the first five years, it will take 10 years for the policy owner's money to mature. When the time comes, nasa 170-180k lang yung makukuha nya. So that's basically 20-30k more than what you've paid them in the past. Tapos, yung malala dyan, with the pesos' current inflation rate, baka yung 20k na yun, magiging 10k nalang when the time comes.

Isa po ako nakakuha ng insurance..nakuha ko sya last year...gusto ko nang ipacancel last year pa pumunta ako sa knila pero di natuloy kaz naingganyo p rin akong ituloy nlng... di pa ako nakapagstart ng hulog kaz annual ang pinirmahan ko....pwede ko pa kayang marefund ung initial investment ko...sna matulungan nyo ako..

    1. Unfortunately po, dahil hindi nyo sya nacancel, baka di na po mairerefund yun. First time ko po nakarinig na naka annual. Pero, if nabayaran nyo po yung good for 1 year, baka may cash value na po yung binayaran nyo, Masmaganda talaga pag tumawag po kayo sa kanila.

    1. Malulugi pa rin po kayo... kasi ang mangyayari dun, yung hindi nyo nabayaran, ibabawas yun sa total nyo na cash value.

      Tapos merong parang clause sa policy na pag lagpas ng grace period of monthly payment, mavovoid yung insurance kung matagal ng di nabayaran.

    1. 15 days po yung look up period nila. And sa experience ko naman po-- pero nakaendowment kasi ako dati), it was one year before nagkacash value yung money ko... and that amounted to a third of what I paid for. So it's up to you if you want to continue with your plan.

    I am also a victim. I have been paying for more than 2 years but just last year, I had a problem so na delayed ang payment ko but my appeal for reinstatement was denied. So after so many arguing with the office girls, I decided to cancel my policy after all, hindi narin lang ma reinstate. What I got as a refund? 13K!!!!! So sa lahat ng mga biktima nila, i cancel nyo na habang mas maaga pa!!

      I-clarify ko lang po sa lahat na nagbabasa. Usually pag lagpas na kayo sa look-up period, termination na usually tawag nila dun.

      Thank you for sharing... sa akin, 1 year ko na binayaran. 39k+ yung total kong binayaran. Less than 10k yung nakuha ko, pero dahil nagpromise yung agent sa akin na more than 10k yung makukuha ko, napilitan syang icover yung 500 or 600 php na binawi ng Prudential Life for "late payment" daw.

Bro yan din yung problema ko, nkakuha din ako ng endowment plan so nka pag initial deposit ako ng 21k plus ung 4k na sa labplus.. 2013 pa yon. so after dat kc ng pagkuha ko nka alis kc aku pra mg trabaho sa ibang bansa kya hindi kuna na pa refurnd.actualy na pilitan lng din akung kunin ung plan dahil sa stelo nila ng pagcombinsi sa tao, na kahit sinabihan muna ng isang beses na hindi ka interesado hahanap tlaga sila ng way pra mag oo ka sa offer nla .But after sa initial deposit hindi kuna nacontinue ung plan .   30. Help! I just got victimized today!! I was on my way home then nilapitan ako with the raffle and prizes. I feel so stupid. Sabi kasi nila 45 minutes lang naging 2 hours halos. I paid P2,250 for just the LABB PLUS. I don't know paano ko siya macacancel eh naka state sa declaration na non-refundable pero nung time na finill-up ko yung form di ko siya napansin, so na-swipe na nila debit card ko. Tapos may video confirmation pa. I need help kasi yung ATM na yun, sa payroll ko yun. Baka magbawas sila. Natatakot talaga ko. How can I proceed with cancellation? Please help me.

    2. i did some research dn kasi eh, legit yang PPLI yung problema nga lang talaga yung mga tao nila na kumukuha ng customers, parang namimilit kasi, and sobrang galing nila mag persuade. sh~t. i cant believe na nahulog din ako sa bitag nila.. parang pinipilit pa naman ako na kumuha ng mas malaking plan.. hehehe.. pero okay lang yan. hayaan ko na lang yan..... kawawa naman yung company, nasisira lang yung name nila dahil sa mga walang kwentang tauhan nila...
      change ko na lang ATM ko. hayaan ko na lang yang 2250 pesos..
      now ive learned from my mistakes..

Mesa Manila (PPLIC) 5PM.. and same lang din ng approach, may gay at girl na lumapit samin ng sis ko. Binibida nila yung raffle nga daw tas may freebies pa, w/o money involve! basta my ATM/CC ka. Before di naman ako nageentertain ng ganyan ganyan, (kasi alam ko sa sarili ko hindi ako makahindi) pag may nagtatanung tungkol sa CC/ATM so since may kasama naman ako, feeling ko secured ako. So ayun, sumama kami ng kapatid ko, naexcite kasi kami sa freebies at dun sa raffle promo. Ayun na nga, andun na sa lobby, kasama pa rin namin yung girl na nagapproach samin, madami xa sinasabi na wala naman money involve, basta papakilala lang yung company nila in 45mins.. Tas may napansin ako na may lumapit sa receptionist, May nakita ako na may BDO ekek, so ako nagtanung ako agad dun sa nagapproach samin na girl, bakit may ganun, na parang babayaran ka pa sa loob,kc my BDO e? Tas sabi nya wala naman daw money involve, at hindi sila kukuha ng mga info about sa mga CC/ATM tas sabi nya pa hindi nila pwede hawakan mga ATM/CC at bastabasta tumingin dun sa info natin, ako naman si tanga, naniwala at sana dun palang sa BDO ekek na nakita ko eh nakutuban na sana ko, pero ayun nagtiwala pa rin ako. So ayun na nga, tinawag na name ko, pinaupo ako ng agent na RICH ang name dun malakas nga ang sounds nila, tas inensure nila na yung mga nahakot nila na Client kuno magkakatalikod at hindi nagkakakitaan, ang unang intrada SAVINGS at plans sa future, so naging interested naman ako, so habang tumatagal, palayo na ng palayo yung usapan, at may sinabi pa na kelangan ba pag mag iipon pa icconsult pa sa iba? sabi ko naman hindi na. so ayun dada pa ng dada..ou na lang ako ng ou, at sabi ko pa sa sarili ko, ok gow lang di naman ako maglalabas ng pera kahit anu pa sabihin mo, so hinayaan ko lang magsalita ng magsalita para matapos na, so inabot na nga ng 2hours, so sa inis ko inabot ng napakatagal, sabi ko "tagal naman, may lakad pa kasi ako" teka ichecheck ko yung kasama ko, tumayo ako at pinuntahan ko sa lobby sis ko. napuntahan ko naman, 2 hrs na nga daw xa naghihintay. ewan ko ba anu pumasok sa isip ko at bumalik ako at umupo pa dun sa dati ko pwesto, siguro kasi nakita ko yung agent na kausap ko na worried xa, so parang naawa naman ako at ayoko naman maging bastos!(na napakalaking pagkakamali) GOSH ang dami ko chance na umalis na agad pero ayun, nagpabiktima pa rin ako (siguro sasabihin nyo, I'm so STUPID, ou ako na una nagsabi sa sarili ko nyan hehe)!! tas ayun nga bibilisan na lng nya, tas yun, kasi sa sobrang inis ko hindi ko na iniintidi sinasabi nya, kasi more than 2 hours na ko andun ang gusto ko nalang matapos na at makaalis na dun! ang dami sinabi hangang may 12k na nabanggit. eto na naman ako, (sabi ko sasarili ko kahit anu pa pilit mo di ako basta basta maglalabas ng pera) so ayun nga andami sinabi, tas maraming beses ako nag NO! tas sabi nya bigyan ko xa ng reason then sabi ko ang laki naman nyan di ko kya, tas may inoffer naman xa na 4,500! Ang sabi ko parin NO, kasi pagiisipan ko muna, yun na nga like ngyari sa inyo, (NGAYON ka lang pwede magdecide! di MAMAYA hindi BUKAS) ngayun lang daw ang opportunity, wag ko daw sayangin, tas sabi pa nga may mga student nga nagavail, at yung iba huli nalaman yung company nagsisisi kasi di pa nila naisip yun before. Tas ayun na nga naglabas ng blue paper, authorization ekek daw! So matagal ako nagiisip nun, kasi nga ayoko talaga maglabas ng pera, tas yun may lumapit na babae at nagpakilala, limot ko na name nya, (parang humarang pa xa sa exit) tas yun pinepressure nila ko Life insurance naman yun, kung may mangyari man sayo nagyun insured ka, (sabi nya wag naman sana sabay knock on wood), so ayun, wala na sa tamang pagiisip, kasi gusto ko na nga din makalabas! Tas sabi pa hindi naman agad mababawas yan, check pa naman yan kung payag yung bank o hindi!pero once na swipe na gow na yun wla ng confirmconfirm pipirma ka nalang sa 2receipt

    HIndi sila papayag na NO ang sagot mo so ayun nga I ended up swiping my CC LABB+ amounting to 4,500!(kasi kating kati na ko makalabas talaga at feeling ko nasusuffocate na ko AT sa panghaharass nila)! (so nagliwanag ang isip ko sa pagkakarinig ng REFUND) sabi ko panu po kung refund (kasi gusto ko ipacancel) kasi nabigla lang ako (tas tanung nya panung nabigla?), sabi ko hindi kasi pasok sa budget ko yan at parang napilit lang ako! sabi nya teka refer back kita dun sa kumausap sayo. Tinawag nya yung agent na nakausap ko named RICH and yung humarang at umepal na babae at pumilit na magavail ako, tas yun na sabi ko gusto ko na irefund yan kasi nabigla lang ako jan at hindi pa naman napipirmahan nung last. Tas nakasimangot na sinabi ng babaeng epal, sinung nagsabi sayo na pwede irefund, sesendan ko ng IR?!! sabi ko yung babae na last na pipirma nyan, sabi nya kasi once na napirmahan na nya di ko na marerefund e, so ngayun irerefund ko na hanggat di xa nakakapirma. sabi ng babaeng epal at ni RICH hindi mo na marerefund yan kasi napirmahan mo na yan at nakalagay na NON-REFUNDABLE yan. Sabi ko naman, eh bat sabi nya(nung last na pipirma) bago nya pirmahan, hindi na pwede irefund, so pwede pa xa irefund. Ipinilit ni babaeng epal na hindi na pwede irefund kasi nakalagay NON-REFUNDABLE nga daw tas bibigyan pa daw ng IR yung nagsabi.. so ayun na naman humahaba na naman usapan tulad nung nagawa nila kanina, napilit na naman ako, nainis na naman ako at umOO nalang ako! so yun dun na naman sa girl na last na pipirma, tinanung nya ko kung ok na ba lahat? sagot ko "eh wala naman na pala ko magagawa eh di OO nalang!", (medyo galit na ko) sya:"so masaya naman kayo maam?" ang sagot ko " MAY CHOICE BA KO?" tas sabi nya sabihin nyo nalang maam happy kayo, tumango ako. so maam Happy po ba kayo sa service namin? sagot ko nalang oo happy na ko para matapos na. inulit na naman nya tanung kung Happy ba ko. Tanga tanga mo naman bat kumuha ka nyan" ako: "ewan ko, wala ko sa tamang pagiisip tska I was forced!" sabi nya "sa ML nga 40pesos lang yang Life Insurance tas pinatos mo yang 4,500 na yan. aanhin mo yan?" ako "ewan ko, eh CC naman yan eh"(nasa isip ko kasi, takbuhan nalang) cousin:"kahit na, ngyari na sakin yan 10yrs ago, pero napacancel ko yan,nagbayad din ako 3k nun pero nabalik" (nagliwanag na naman isip ko sa word na CANCEL at sinabi ko, "isa ka rin pala" sabay tawa) at yun napagusapan na CANCELLATION!!
    Tas nagtext pa tong Rich, late ko na nabasa, "Iappreciate mo nalang yun plan mo at cnxa na sa abala" bat naghihingi xa ng pasenxa? cguro yun talaga utos sa kanila, at alam ng buong company yung panloloko ng agents nila, so SCAM talaga silaaa
    Kinabukasan OCT 21 tinawagan muna yung bank ng CC at inadvisean kami na pupunta daw sa PPLIC at ipacancel namin, sinama ko couz, kasi magaling magsalita yun, nagaaral ng Law at my experience din sa naexperienced ko, kasi kung ako lang magisa pupunta, pagtutulungan ka talaga, gaya nung napilit ka nila nung una nagbayad ka. edi andun na kami, pinapacancel namin, yung kumausap sakin yung babaeng epal, dami tanung at ulit ulit syempre panlaban daw ang video, at pumirma ako, blah blah andmi nila talaga ipipilit, wag mo lang icancel yung policy. eh syempre yung cousin ko ang nagsasalita on my behalf naman kasi napagusapan na namin anu gagawin eh. basta ang lagi sasabihin CANCEL yun kasi di naman naintindihan. yun lage kahit anu ipilit nila CANCEL parin.. umabot kami 1 hr kung sinu sinu na kumausap samin, eh ayaw pa rin talaga nila icancel, ang iniinsist kasi nila, pinirmahan mo yan at nagbigay ka ng authority para magamit CC mo! nagmamatigas, at ayaw ipakausap samin yung iba pang manager. tas tinawagan ng couz ko friend nya sa insurance company nagwowork, dun sila medyo naalarmed, tas lumabas.. ayun na hiningan kmi ng cancellation letter ang nilagy ko reason I dont fully understand the terms and agreement chu chu..medyo di nga formal eh, kasi di namin naprepare ng maayos, at napacancel na kmi bago ko pa mabasa tong mga bad coments at blog about PPLIC and panu icancel ang policy, So hindi ako nakahingi ng SOA, siguro sa pagbalik ko nalang and itatawag ulit nmin sa cc provider, . so ayun, tinanggap naman ang cancellation letter at nagsigned ROSEL L. BARRUN - BSA ang sabi maghintay ng 30-45 days bago magcharge back. tas paglabas namin nakasalubong namin, parang inis ang ngiti nila haha.. ayun shinare ko lang guys ang malaimpyernong experienced. sorry po kung napakahaba kasi fresh pa e and gusto ko rin po makatulong at ayoko na mangyari sa iba, and thanks na rin sa mga makakabasa nito, I hope kahit papanu makatulong ito.     1. Sorry. I just realized na nakapagreply ka rin. Basta nacancel na po yung policy ninyo, masmagandang dalhin nyo yung paper sa bank, as proof na terminated na yung authorization ng PPLIC sa card mo.

      Wag mo ng iterminate. I-verify mo nalang sa bank mo na totally void na yung authorization ng PPLIC na mag credit ng kahit ano sa card mo.

      Oo nga pala ano.. Signed letter lang ba yung binigay nila sayo? Puntahan nyo nalang po bank nyo. Sila lang talaga makakatulong sa yo. Pasensya na at medyo limited yung knowledge ko tungkol sa Labb Plus.

      Hope na naibalik na pera nyo ngayon.

    2. Hi Haopee, naibalik na po sakin nung Nov. 3 pa, hindi na nirequire ng bank na magsend ako ng kahit anung docs sakanila, kasi 100% sure na cancelled na daw yun! at wala pa processing fee..ayun napakasaya ko lang.. hehe salamat sa tulong po nyo :)

  37. Much better kung pupunta ka sa PPLIC. Dala kayo cancellation letter, tas magsama ka, yung matapang at kaya manindak.. Pag ikaw lang pagtutulungan k lang nila e.. basta once mapareceive nyo na yung letter at masign-an na, madali na yun.. maghihintay nalang kayo refund/chargeback..

Nov 12 mga 6pm pumunta ako to ask for refund pero sinabi nila na i can cancel lang daw the subscription pero ang nabayad ko na na amount is after 2 years of effectivity ko pa makukuha. grabe marami pang kwento and i don't know bakit sumulpot ang 2 years na yan. needing help din ako about dito.

      Yes. They may call it ignorance on our part for reading stories in blogs, pero an rami na ng comments. And a lot of them share the same deceptive tactics. I've read one too many na. So kahit na anong sabihin nilang sa blog lang yan, yung comments dito talk about the same thing. Sabing hindi marefund pero marami nang nakapagpacancel.

      I just hope they'd stop with the deception and lying. Yung poblema kasi sa kanila, di nila maingganyo yung customers nila kasi--in truth--ang baba ng return ng investment. Tapos, ang taas naman cost ng labb plus. Yung sa Pru Life nga 300+ lang ang yearly, may insurance ka na!

    2. Hello po. That's the cheapest LABB Plus I've heard of dito sa blog. Baka po nakastaggard payment sya. Nagsign ba kayo ng Auto-Debit na form? Kasi yung Auto-Debit na form authorizes PPLIC to charge your ATM with any remaining balances your plan may incur. Pero if wala po kayong nasignan na form (yung pinapafill up sayo yung ATM number mo), then no need to worry po.

      Masmaganda po na puntahan nyo nalang dun sa office kung saan kayo nakakuha ng plan para (or tawagan nyo po sila just to make sure)

    Victim din po ako. Nagsign up po ako for endowment. Nagbakasyon po kami sa cebu at yun nga i was convinced na sumama for a 45 mins presentation with all the promo at free stuff nilang offer. The thing is, akala ko ung iccharge sa credit card ko eh staggard payment, but lumalabas na one time lang pala sya. It is worth 25k! Hindi kaya ng bulsa. Now the thing is, may 15 day free look period sya which gusto ko sana iexercise. But, sa makati po ako working at nadaan lang sa cebu for vacation. Pano po ako magbibigay ng cancellation letter? Please advise po asap. I tried calling their customer service kaso 8am to 5pm lang pala sila.

Pinacancel ko xa Oct. 21 then cancelled na xa ng Nov. 3, hinintay ko lang yung bill just to make sure na wala na nga xa, tsaka wala po akong processing fee, yung iba kasi may nababasa ako na hihingan daw nun.. Ayun, share ko lang, Happy kasi ako eh.. hehe sana maibalik din nila agad yung mga nakulimbat nila sainyo.. Basta agapan nyo lang po, tas kulitin nyo sila ng kulitin para maicancel at maibalik na pera nyo...

  47. nag avail po ako last july worth 9k and nagemail po ako ng cancellation letter nung august but ang sabi po ng pplic non refundable dw po. so, last november 14 pumunta po ako sa gateway para magpareceive ng letter but ayaw nila tanggapin kc non refundable dw. pero nung tumagal po napilitan na rin cla ireceive and pinakita ko ang letter from insurance commission. follow up dw po alo after 2 to 3 weeks. mababalik po kaya sa akin ang pera ko?

  48. Hello dimakahindi! Ask ko lang po paano marefund yung 4,500 pag sinabing non-refundable at iniinsist na non-refundable talaga? Naswipe na kasi yung atm ko bago sabihin na non-refundable. Nakakalungkot po kasi working student ako tas pinaghirapan ko yun tas nawala lang ng ganun ganun lang. Di kasi ako nakapag-isip. :(

    sa SM Manila na branch nmn po 2. last dec 7, 2014 lng. can i still get d refund even if it says on the agreement that i signed that it's not refundable?

Echos lang yang pinirmahan na tin na yan..yan kasi panindak nila, so yung iba nadadala.kaya di nila macancel, kahit ganu pa kaliit yan,pinaghirapan yan noh..makukuha mo yan..dala ka cancelletion letter, ipasign mo at ipareceive sa kanila, pag ayaw, kunin mo mga names nila.tas sabihin mo irereport mo sila..

      The day was December 7, 2014. I was walkingaround farmers plaza when a girl approached me. She asked if I am already working and if I have a credit card. I said yes. Sabi nya may promo daw sila sa company and if I want to join, saglit lang naman daw and I would really help her if I would say "yes" to their orientation which is going to take about 45mins To cut the long story short, I said yes and she asked me to follow her on their office in gateway, I thought 45mins lang talaga but lumagpas na ng 45 mins, they're not allowing me to go. Everytime that I said no, the agent keeps on offering me a new plan. By that time, I feel pressured. sabi ko ayoko gumawa ng decision in a short span of time since I want to think about it more. Pero di pa rin sya tumigil until such time na nag offer na sya ng mas mababang policy, the LABB PLUS. dahil sa nakulitan na ako sa kanya, I said yes. pero labag talaga sa loob ko yun. After that, dun palang ako nakaalis (after signing the papers and video confirmation),

      The next day, I wrote an email to the insurance commission stating that I felt forced to avail the paln that I never wanted to get in the first place. I explained how the agent tre\ted me. I did not receive a reply until #rd week of February 2015. Someone called me and said she was from the head office of Philippine Prudential. She said she was able to receive an email from the Insurance Commission from which attached my email. We discussed about how I was able to avail the policy and my experience. I told her na di na ako nag eexpect na makauha ng refund and my only concern is the way their agents are offering their prospective clients their policy. Matagal kami nag usap mga more than 30 mins siguro. then finally, she informed me that she would review my case (she will check the video confirmation, papers, etc) and will call me as soon as possible kung ano kakalabasan. Yesterday, March 9, 2015, naka tanggap ako ng tawag. Informing me that my request for cancellation for my policy has been approved. I would just submit to the all the papers that I have signed and bring with my cancellation letter. 30-45 days daw before ma refund yung pera ko which is P4,500.

Hopefully, PPLIC will stop with the non-refundable gimmick and give their clients honest and timely information regarding their products. Hindi yung tipong non-refundable, may pavideo video pa, whereas yung signing ng non-refundable form is AFTER na swipe na yung card.

  60. Yung akin po kc labbplus lng. Parents ko kc pinaharap ko nung 2nd time na pumunta ko pra magpacancel. Sinasabe daw nila na di daw pde icancel kc pumirma daw ako dun sa non-refundable. Pero di nila masabing derecho na non-refundable kc alam nila cguro na within 15 days pa lng nung na-avail ko. Kya ayun gagawan daw ng paraan. Pinasulat ulet ako ng bagong cancellation letter tpos pinalagay lng na 30-45 days yung charge processing. Dun po ba sa cancellation letter nyo sinabe nyo na endowment lng ang icacancel? Mas ok din po cguro consult na rin kau sa insurance commission.

    Ask ko lang po kung pano gumawa ng cancellation letter? Gusto ko na po kasi pacancel yung LABB PLUS ko na inavail last night. And gusto ko din marefund yung binayad ko. More than 2 hours ako nasa office nila, pero ang dami palang di naexplain about dun sa inavail ko. Yung iba din nilang sinabi mejo contradicting dun sa nabasa ko sa site nila. Tapos yung binigay sakin na option 2 lang, yung 9k at 6750 lang. E based sa mga nabasa ko na nakapost dito, may mas mababa po pala na pwedeng iavail.

    1. Yung nagturo kasi sa akin is yung receptionist mismo ng PPLIC. More or less, you're simply going to state the reason why you want it cancelled. Sa akin nga, to whom it may concern pa. I stated my personal reason since Endowment Policy sa akin. Search nyo po dito sa mga comments, or dun sa isang post, kasi alam ko parang may naglagay kung saan nila binase yung letter nila

  62. Nabiktima din ako kagabi lang (Feb 2, 2015) sa my SM Fairview branch nila. 4,500 ang inooffer sakin since sabi ko 5K lang laman ng atm ko. Pero sabi ko ang mahal pa din, i have doubts pero nagpumilit tlga ung agent, more convincing words pa pngsasabi. pero sabi niya lowest n dw ung 4500, w/c is not true db? ito ang ilalaban ko sa kanila pag magpapacancel ako. mali maling information at pinepressure ka na um-OO agad. papasama ako sa tatay ko pagbalik ulit dun dahil nagalit dn ang papa ko dhil ngtiwala agad ako at nglabas ng pera.

    The day was December 7, 2014. I was walkingaround farmers plaza when a girl approached me. She asked if I am already working and if I have a credit card. I said yes. Sabi nya may promo daw sila sa company and if I want to join, saglit lang naman daw and I would really help her if I would say "yes" to their orientation which is going to take about 45mins To cut the long story short, I said yes and she asked me to follow her on their office in gateway, I thought 45mins lang talaga but lumagpas na ng 45 mins, they're not allowing me to go. Everytime that I said no, the agent keeps on offering me a new plan. By that time, I feel pressured. sabi ko ayoko gumawa ng decision in a short span of time since I want to think about it more. Pero di pa rin sya tumigil until such time na nag offer na sya ng mas mababang policy, the LABB PLUS. dahil sa nakulitan na ako sa kanya, I said yes. pero labag talaga sa loob ko yun. After that, dun palang ako nakaalis (after signing the papers and video confirmation),

    The next day, I wrote an email to the insurance commission stating that I felt forced to avail the paln that I never wanted to get in the first place. I explained how the agent tre\ted me. I did not receive a reply until #rd week of February 2015. Someone called me and said she was from the head office of Philippine Prudential. She said she was able to receive an email from the Insurance Commission from which attached my email. We discussed about how I was able to avail the policy and my experience. I told her na di na ako nag eexpect na makauha ng refund and my only concern is the way their agents are offering their prospective clients their policy. Matagal kami nag usap mga more than 30 mins siguro. then finally, she informed me that she would review my case (she will check the video confirmation, papers, etc) and will call me as soon as possible kung ano kakalabasan. Yesterday, March 9, 2015, naka tanggap ako ng tawag. Informing me that my request for cancellation for my policy has been approved. I would just submit to the all the papers that I have signed and bring with my cancellation letter. 30-45 days daw before ma refund yung pera ko which is P4,500.

  67. hi good day! Need help here. My husband availed insurance sa Philippine prudential last 2010, syempre gaya ng iba naniwala sya sa kakayahan ng PPLIC. So nka pagbayad xa ng intial payement na 40k++ ata yun, then monthly payment of 3, 450 for 5 years. We've completed it this Month lang so total investment malaki na. then ang maturity nun is on 2025., Now, we've decided to get/refund our money na. Any help or suggestion that we can do para makuha ung pera namin at kung makukuha pa ba namin yun lahat? And isa pa, yung branch nila sa Megamall wala na, Kaninu o saan po dapat kami pumunta para sa concern namin. Nawala na rin po yung Documents n binigay sa asawa ko when he availed the said insurance. Any help po please...we're so desperate na...

    1. You have to call their main office to know kung saan kayo pwede magpaterminate ng plan. With regard naman po sa binayaran nila, I can only assure you na pagtinerminate nyo sya, yung maibabalik sa inyo is yung cash value nya. If may policy po kayo, dun nyo makikita yung cash value nya. If you've paid for five years, edi patapos na po yung payment nila, right?

  68. UPDATE ON THE LABB PLUS
    may practice na ngayon ang Phil. prudential life na hindi na to refundable. meron silang ipapasign na docs sa inyo at hindi ito ung docs na may 15 day looking period (yung time na pwede nyo pa sya maFULL refund). stated pa sa docs ng LABB Plus na non-refundable sya. sa katangahan ko I still pushed through with it thinking na pwede ko pa sya ma refund kasi baka may master policy sila na nagsasabi na pwede pa irefund any policy under their company. tuloy nakuhanan nila ako ng 6750, grabe ung pagpilit nila saakin para makaabot sa price na yan dahil d kaya ng budget ko. dumating sa point na nung talagang umaayaw na ako pumasok na ung manager para sila ng sales agent against me para ma close ung sale.

    nagtry ako ipacancel ung LABB Plus na 6750 para marefund ung whole amount, pero since stated na sa pinirmahan ko na documents na non refundable sya, wla na ako magawa. inexplain naman saakin nung manager na hindi sya marerefund kahit anong gawin ko dahil hindi sya stated sa pinirmahan ko. masyado nya pati hinighlight ung benefits kahit basically minanipulate nila ako para kunin ng insurance nila in the first place.

    by the way, dont ever fall for the "it's for your family" guilt trip. kasi mahirap magfile ng claims sa philippine prudential life. matagal pa dahil kelangan pa dumaan sa head office nila. nganga ka kung nasa malayo kang probinsya.

    ang nagawa nalang nila dinowngrade ung plan ko to 2250 from 6750. tapos ibabalik saakin ay 4250 (meron pa silang 250 na admin fee. pero at this point gusto ko nlng talaga na mabalik as much of the money as I can). ung after inexplain ng manager sa supervisor nya. pinoprocess pa nila ung bagong policy ko w/ 2250 at 30-40 days pa bago maibalik ung pera ko sa atm.

    half bitter ako sa philippine prudential life at ng LABB Plus nilang insurance. which is, by the way, ung cheapest insurance nila. charge to expirience to saakin at sana hindi mangyari sa iba.

    1. Hello po. Sorry to hear this. Pero ganun din po sa iba. Kung nabasa nyo po yung ibang comments, nagsign din sila ng agreement na non-refundable sya. Yung kinontest naman nila was PPLIC is using deceptive tactics to have that form signed-- na di nila ininform yung clients nila na non-refundable sya until naswipe na yung card nila. So syempre, si client naman, wala ng magawa kasi naswipe na yung card.

      Check nyo po sa taas, yung mga nagpacancel ng pplic nila, nakapagsign din na non-refundable sya. Pinangatwiran nila na they signed the form AFTER na naswipe yung card nila. That is a violation of a consumer right, something about failure to disclose relevant information. Check nyo po sa comments. Alam ko merong info dyan kung anong rights yung viniolate nila.

    2. Salamat sa pagreply. tama nga na minention nila un pagkatapos nila binawas ung amount sa card ko. pero at this point meron bang magagawa? wala kasi physical proof na binawas muna ung pera sa card ko bago nila minention na ndi sya refundable.

      diniin talaga saakin nung manager na ndi na sya refundable dahil sa pinirmahan ko. pinakita nya saakin ung papel na pinapipirmahan nila na refundable. may nakalagay dun na nakanumber na policy rules, no. 11 ung nagsasabi na pwede sya irefund. pero ung pinirmahan ko wala nun at nakalagay nga na non refundable sya. inakala ko na condensed document ung pinirmahan ko pero hindi pala. ung pinirmahan ko as is un.

      Philippine Prudential life policy LABB Plus IS NON REFUNDABLE because it is a term policy.

      un ang pinilit saakin nung manager. at ininsulto nya pa nga ako by saying "don't be closed minded! this is for your family para ikaw naman ang mag give back!!!". medyo curious ako kung may magagawa ba ang insurance commission. given the case na ang pinirmahan kong doc. may nakalagay naman na non refundable sya at may video proof pa sila.

If this is the way they do business hindi sila tatagal kahit na marami silang naloloko. Lets just pray that the office of the insurance commission will wake up and see to it that this company is being managed at a standard required by law. Please, help me! isa rin ako ako sa matinding pinilit para kumuha ng LABB Plus at group insurance..,may panloloko talaga kasi ang sabi mag-sign up lang muna ako kasi may confirmation pa naman from the bank, yun pala diretso na at wala ka ng magagawa para umatras... Sana makunsensya naman ang mga taga- Phil Prudential sa mga pinaggagawa nila..walang lokohan,kung pwede lang!

Ssbhn ng mag aassist seo na maghahandle pa dn nean ay un branch . Since uko na pmnta dun at sinabe ko dpat today mpsken na un soa na me cancel na . Pnkausap sken un asstnt mngr ng branch at sinsbe na pmnta dw aq dun to clarify my questions. Pero pngadiinan ko tlga na auko na at dto ako pnpnta ni IC eun bngay ko un letter and inemail or finax s branch na me noted nea. Then nireceive nmn ng nag assist skn s office.   75. Isa ako sa mga naloko. Yesterday lang, May 16, 2015! I felt forced and naive. But to be honest di ko naman sila icoconsider na scam. I just don't like how they treat their clients. First of all, di ko naman talaga planong kumuha ng insurance that day! Mag dedeposit lang sana ako sa Bpi nun. To cut the story short, nakuhaan nila akong 6750. It was labb plus btw. Pero ang concern ko lang, di ko naman alam na ma ccharge na ko that day mismo. Nung nag swipe na ng card, ang sabi saken, kung di daw papayagan ng bank, sorry na lang daw, bibigyan na lang daw niya ko ng tumbler. Kung matanggap daw, edi okay. Ang iniisip ko talaga nun, sana di tanggapin. Kasi to be honest, yung credit card na binigay ko, parang secondary lang ako. o Beneficiary? Di ko alam ang tawag e. Basta mommy ko yung primary holder. Sa kanyang account yung credit card ko. Ang tagal na nung credit card na yun saken, ang pagkakatanda ko terminated na yun. Pero nakapag charge pa sila ng 6750! After ng video confirmation, lumabas na ko, tapos naiyak. Kasi ang tanga lang. To think na magagalit mommy ko pag nalaman niya yun. Tinapon ko talaga yung tumbler sa sobrang inis sa sarili. Pero ngayon, ang dami ko ng nababasa. Ang next step ko na lang, eh i confirm sa bpi kung terminated na talaga yung credit card ko. Kasi kung ganun nga. Invalid na yung contract ko!! WISH ME LUCK!!

  76. Ok add me to the ever growing list of unsatisfied customers. Kanina lang na hulog ako sa patibong nilang raffle may free bag pa! Anyways ang ganda ng accommodation before the talk, with bottomless iced tea. Before nagsimula, pinaswipe saken ying debit card ko to check my balance (8k) wala namang reciept na ibinigay saken so confident akong walang nabawas (hoping) so nahsimula na yung talk, at first nag make sense yung mga sinasabe ng agent. After abt. 30 mins. Nagpaulit ulit nalang yung ineexplain nya kahit tinatanong ko kung ano ang terms ng plan. So pinakita nya saken yumg endowment at optimum health plans. Good thing hindi ko ma afford yung endowment at 26k annual at dineny ko yung optim at 7k kasi binili sana ako ng printer. Aftet that offer nya saken yung 4k for 1 year. Muntikan na akong mahulog dun if not for my father na tawag ng tawag saken. At may hahabulin pa akong movie w/ my friends at 7 pm. I am worried lang kasi i did fill up anf sign their "confidential survey" thingy and of the raffle entry. Although im almost confident na wala silang makukuha saken, im really anxious about what happened. I am still waiting to see kung may kaltas ba sa debit card ko. Hay, what a waste of time. At any case binigyan nila ako ng bag, a testament of what happened. This was truely an eye opening practical experience. I'll be more keen in my decisions on the future.

    1. I'm truly surprised na napull out nila yung balance ng account mo. I didn't know it was possible, especially since di mo naman na-input yung pin code ko. Yung poblema sa debit card kasi, they don't need your signature to make sure that the transfer is legitimate.

      May nakuha ba sa account mo? Just make sure that your balance is still intact.

    They swiped my ATM card last 2 months ago in their office just to check if my atm is active or not. (Sounds peculiar) and so they did.

    But, i did not avail or get any transaction from them and sabi ko im not interested. What they gave to me is the scholarship voucher and some other stuff.

    Question. Safe ba ung atm ko when they swiped it? I already changed my password recently.

    Isa din po ako sa nabiktima. Di ko na isa-isahin yung storya as it's pretty much the same sa inyu. Dito po ako sa Abreeza Ayala Mall in Davao city na scam ng mga bwesit na ito. Di ko pa napacancel kasi nagreresearch ako kung anong dapat kung gawin. Yung policies na avail ko ay "PESO BUILDER" and "LABB +". Sa kabwesitan nila nagawa nila akong papirmahin sa mga documents na hindi ko nabasa dahil sa pagamamadali na makaalis na. Sa laking gulat ko, saka ko pa nlaman na yung pinirmahan ko ay pahintulot na mag debit sa atm card ko. Bwesit na bwesit na ako nung i swipe na yung card ko dahil nga nkapirma ako. Nung nkauwi na ako binasa ko lahat papers na pinadala sakin. Mas lalo akong nabwesit sa nalaman ko. Yung ibang dapat ako ang mag fill up sila na gumawa dahil may appointment pa akong pupuntahan. Ang problema nakapirma ako na lahat ng info don ako ang nagsulat.
    Nag research ako about this bullshit PPLIC at nalaman ko ang kahayopan nila. At nong tiningnan ko site ng pplic wala nman peso builder doon. Ang sabi pa nila na kung gusto ko icancel yung policy two years ko pa daw makukuha ang refund.
    Please help nman po. Two years ko pa ba talaga pwede makuha ang refund? Kung sino man ibang nabiktima dito sa davao comment lang po kayo. Maraming maraming salamat sa sasagot?

  85. Same here ngyon lang ako nabiktima.. Sa sm sta mesa. LABB plus worth 4500. Napressure din ako na kunin siya. Nung una sabi nila 45 min. Pero halos two hours kami dun.. Ang sabi naman sakin yung LABB plus daw automatic after a year choice mo kung ipapaupgrade mo pa. Pero hindi ako confident lalo na nung nabasa ko tong blog spot... Tapos may sinulatan ako kanina na card number ko..kinakabahan ako baka ma automatic debit yun sa card ko. Please help kung sino man yung mga na biktima sa branch nila sa sm sta mesa.

    1. Hi Kathleenmae. I was also victimized by this deceitful company. Same day, same place, same experience and same policy - LABB PLUS. I was also gainfully forced to purchase the product on the spot. I do not really know what came over me that day that they are able to deceive me into buying such product. I have not yet resolved my issue. I have also read the thread on the procedures on what to do in such instance, however, this was years ago and I am not certain whether this is still valid until now. But of course, I will give it a try. If you have any means or advice on what to do to cancel the policy and refund the money, I would be very grateful if you could share it to me. Thank you.

    3. Hi Kathleenmae. I have followed all the procedures shared in this post. The steps are still applicable. You may follow these procedures. I gave it a try last Monday and I was able to cancel my policy. Though after 30 to 45 days pa makukuha yun refund. Anyway, I suggest you do the same. Read the whole blog din and the comments.

      What I did before going back to the branch as I know they will be saying anything just for me not to cancel the policy, I called the customer service of the head office and relayed my concern. The CSR still tried to convince me not to cancel the policy but the CSR still listened with my concern. Just be firm with your decision and be ready with your valid reason for cancellation (they are very particular on this one). Afterwards the CSR tagged my account as for cancellation. Then I was instructed to go back to the branch to submit the documents and the letter of cancellation. Verbal communication with the CSR is not enough for the cancellation. It needs to be in black and white.

      Before going to the branch, I have armed myself by sending the letter ahead to the customer service department of the Head Office through an email. Surprisingly, the response was quick. They acknowledged the receipt of my letter of cancellation. Still, the instruction was to go back to the branch.

      So, I went back to the branch and had my sibling come with me. Upon entering the branch office, I was very nervous but kept my cool and goal – to cancel the policy. BE VERY FIRM WITH YOUR DECISION. The CSR in the branch took my letter and documents. Part of the procedure for the cancellation is that the CSR will first ask you for the reasons why you would like to cancel. Afterwards, the manager will interview you as well for the final confirmation for cancellation. Be prepared to defend your letter kasi tama yun nabasa ko sa blog, tatanungin ka nila whether kinopy mo yun letter. When the manager asked me this, naginit ulo ko and answered sternly ofcourse, those are my words. I saw how the manager got rattled. Now, I was braver and I know what is right kaya matapang ako sumagot sagot na. Di na nila ako mauuto.

      The Manager apologized and afterwards I requested to expedite the process. Bring an ID kasi hahanapan ka nila. Then don’t forget to get a receiving copy of your letter. Have them receive this. Also, ask for your SOA with a cancelled status. Just wait within 30-45 days for the refund if you have used a debit card.
      Bring someone with you to back you up. Isama mo rin siya everywhere na papuntahin ka. This is what I did, sinama ko na kapatid ko. Kasi wrong decision yun ginawa ko before na iniwan siya sa lobby, navictimized tuloy ako. Ayun, I hope this helped you. Pero best parin talaga is to read the whole blog and yun other posts din para may idea ikaw. Also, do not bring any card (ATM or credit card). Baka magamit uli eh. You never know what black voodoo they are using to convince people into buying stuff. Para lang safe diba. Then pray always even bago pumasok ng branch para God will guide you and God will do the rest.

      Don’t lose hope. Basta need mo maaccomplish ito within the 15 days free look period. Time is running out. I suggest you do it tomorrow na.

I have gained so much information and strength on how to cancel the policy that I recently acquired. I hoped I had known this post way earlier so that I may have avoided such a traumatic experience.   90. Just yesterday I have signed for a LABB PLUS policy in the hopes that their incessant 45 minute presentation stops. I deposited 9000 for the initial payment and never did they say that the contract automatically renews itself annually. I am now following the steps commented in the hopes that I get that money back, its from my savings and I really wish I hadn't signed the contract. :(
    What I am worried about is that the contract apparently says its non-refundable and I just wish my cancellation and refund pushes through. Will call their hotline later in the day to confirm cancellation then head to the branch office which I had gone too yesterday to hand in my letter.

    1. Nasa Declaration ung "non-refundble". I guess hindi na nga natin makukuha ung Labb plus pero ung sa Insurance alam ko oo.

  94. hi everyone! i hope this blog is still active. Nag sign up ako sa Phil. Prudential JUST TODAY. 42k ang total na na iswipe sa cc ko. 9k is for LABBPLUS.. convincing ung mga financial advisor nila. ngayon ko lang nabasa ung mga negative comments regarding Phil Prudential. I just noticed na ung mga comments dito ay dahil sa pag treat sa kanila ng mga sales agents at sa initial payment. matanong ko lang po... may nag comment na po ba na after paying the premium of 10 years eh walang nakuha sa phil. prudential? mas maganda po kasi kung ang magcocomment dito are those plan holders na nakatapos na magbayad at kung nakuha ba nila ung ininvest nila.. para po mapatunayan natin if this insurance company is legit. Im planning to cancel na din po kasi kaya lang baka pagsisihan ko din kung hindi ko itutuloy.. iba na ang may hawak kang pera pag nag retire ka aside sa SSS pension mo.

  95. Your Labb plus insurance policy is refundable especially if nag cancel kayo within the 15 days of grace period.
    i went to the branch where i transacted after 6 days kasi my class pa ako. My letter of cancellation stated na i was not aware that LABB plus is non- refundable. Yung manager tinarayan ako kasi bakit daw nag sign ako then nung cinonfirm nila if nabasa ko na ang contract bakit may signature daw ng service associate. i was still firm na hindi ko alam kahit yung tono ng manager was like accusing me of lying. i was really close to crying. then she said na mag email na lang daw ako. So i scanned my letter of cancellation and sent it to theie email at nag cc rin ako sa insurance commission. for my part mas may nangyari pa ng nag send ako ng email. back anf froth yung emails namin and i keep on reminding her about the cancellation and today nag email sila na cancelled na at refunded pa. basta everyday lang kayo mag email tapos i remind niyo lang talaga.

    2. hello po. im also a victim and hanggang ngayon di talaga ako maka move on, recently i signed the LABB+ (Jan 29). paano po ba ipa cancel yun? sa SM Pampanga po ako nahatak but im in Cabantuan, pde po ba na dto ko sa Cabanatuan dalhin reklamo ko? Salamat po.

  96. Until now ginagawa pa rin nila yan activity na yan ... isa din ako sa nabiktima nila dun sa SM Manila
