STOP Buying Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co. (PPLIC) Plans NOW!!!

WHY?!? I finally compiled some 2012/2013 news and opinions on Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company (PPLIC). The latest is dated August 31, 2013.

Deceptive Marketing. I've seen this report a long time ago. Surprising how only Mr. Anthony Taberna was brave enough to do an expose on the Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co.

The only thing I could find in GMA News Online is this (dated April 12, 2013)
“Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company Inc. is financially sound, as it remains to be a stable and strongly capitalized company, duly-licensed by our government regulator, the Insurance Commission,” Philippine Prudential president and chief executive officer Gregorio Mercado said in an e-mailed statement.
ODD! Since they're still roaming the malls, surely ABS-CBN or XXX must have done a follow-up on it. But I couldn't find one.

I'm surprised that nothing popped out regarding the policy holders who filed administrative and criminal charges against PPLIC. You'd think there's a conspiracy going on. Of course, that's probably just my imagination going wild.

It just baffles me how this company has remained afloat even after the many complaints on their agents' ethics. Now, we hear that their license has been revoked.

How in the world are they still selling their "pre-need plans" in malls?!?


Okay, so perhaps they're talking about a different Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co.

Then again, there's this. 
MANILA - (UPDATED 5:16 p.m.) About one hundred plan holders of Danvil Plans Inc trooped to the Inusrance Commission (IC) on Thursday, asking the regulator to revoke the license of Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Co for the sudden termination of the benefits of their paid-up policies. 
Oh, so they are talking about the same company. Unfortunately, this isn't about their intimidating tactics as stated by a lot of comments in our previous blog post called The Battle with PPLIC. This is about them abruptly terminating their plan holder's policies.

One of the more pressing concerns is that even with this heat, they continue to roam in malls promising their potential customers a good investment while Danvil planholders sue them for simply promising 30% as arranged by Philippined Prudential Life (different from Prudential Life).

As Mr. Satur Ocampo stated in Philstar News titled "Insurance, pre-need scam: A public-private partnership"
The planholders also questioned why the IC, while allowing their benefits to be terminated, had allowed PPLIC to continue to operate with license and sell its insurance and pre-need products. That’s duping the new and potential planholders, they said.
Furthermore, according to Satur Ocampo's Parallels: Pork barrel, insurance, pre-need scams, Emmanuel Dooc, Insurance Commissioner had already promised closely monitoring the firm since 2010... I still don't get why they've gotten this far as to mess with 4000 policy holder's plans under the "protector account" due to a "technicality clause".

As  Mr. Saturno is imploring expedited action from government officials, I am asking readers and plan holders to be very vigilant while passing through malls. The most recent comment in this blog was dated October 22, 2013. This means they still have their license to operate.

Learn the facts (No matter how limited they are) and READ YOUR POLICY! Do what Antionette did in her comment (as posted in our latest PPLIC blog post titled "Is PPLIC LABB PLUS refundable?Latest update on this blog link is dated Feb. 7, 2015.) Fight for your consumer rights and see how they react to it. This isn't about investing soundly anymore, nor is it an emotional rant on how we felt we were scammed. This is about big companies taking our hard-earned money, promising us financial stability and terminating it due to "technicalities" average consumers, like us, don't fully understand.

Nagpasa na po ako kanina ng cancellation letter but hindi nila tinanggap, di sila satisfied sa reason ko at di nila tinanggap please pakitulungan niyo po ako :(

    1. Hello po. I apologize for not bringing any better news. Ang pagkakaintindi ko po, based on the other comments on my other blog post on PPLIC, yung LABB Plus is a one time payment non-refundable product. Nakakaasar man pero ganyan talaga. It's a very expensive lesson learned. Most of us here have paid (others still continuing payment) to this insurance company. It is sad that we had to learn something financially at such an expense.

ATM debit card po ang ginamit ko po, sa mga nabasa ko po na comments po last year pa po yun pero nairefund naman po yun pera at natanggap yun cancellation letter po nila, wala po ako idea if kaya pa irefund yung labb plus, sana po kaya pa ibalik yun pera kasi need ko talaga, hindi ko alam bat ba ako pumayag :(

    3. Yes po. Pag endowment plan, dapat talagang irefund nila pag may kumansel kasi nakalagay sya sa policy. Di ko pa po kasi nakita yung policy ng LABBS.

      Read nyo po yung comment na to: Comment on LABBS. Di ko nga lang sure kung ano na nangyari tungkol dito.

      Ano po daw sabi nila reason na di nila tinatanggap? Wala po ba kayong copy ng policy? Ano po nakalagay dun? Read nyo po ulit para makajustify kayo na based on the contract/policy. Mahirap kasing kausapin mga yun na pinapacancel mo dahil ayaw mo lang. Kailangan talagang may reason...

Ako po ito si kim, kasi daw po copy ko lang daw sa net pero i insist na gawa ko to and sabi ko kumuha ako net ng idea, pero di sa mga blogs na sinasabi nila, tapos hinahapan pa nila ako ng reason, sabi ko ayaw ko na talaga, im not interested anymore at ayaw ng family ko, and di sila satisfied, ito gumawa ako ng bagong letter na ibang iba, meron ba 15 days grace period ang policy ko? Which is labb plus? Wala naman nakaindicate na non refundable sa policy contract ko e, im aware na meron ako pinirmahan na paper regarding sa non refundable pero di naman nakaindicate sa policy contract

    Recently, pumunta ako sa office nila sa SM Southmall, together with my parents, dala ko po yung cancellation letter ko, ang nangyari po hinarap kami ng manager and together with the CSR, he get my letter then he ask me why ko icacancel yun policy, at sinabi ko i am not longer interested, and according to advice of my parents wag ko na ituloy yun policy plan ko, then i ask to cancel the policy and also to refund the initial payment. Eventually, nagsalita naman ito si Manager kuno, na di daw refundable yung LABB Plus, and tapos yun letter ko daw is letter of appeal, e letter nga ng cancellation yun, kasi daw may kasama daw refund, yun naman talaga ang pinunta ko dun, para mairefund ang payment ko and so on, di nalang ako nakinig sa mga sinasabi niya kasi di naman yung ang pinunta ko dun para makinig sa kanya, i just want to cancel my policy and to refund my payment, and ayun nga kinausap na ng tatay ko yun manager, pinagsabihan na kung maari maibalik na yun pera at kung paano kadali na na pa OO sa kanila dapat ganun din kadali din ibabalik yun pera na naibayad ko pati yun pagpapancel, at pinakita pa namin yun insurance din namin para sa family namin, at sinabi na ito yung mga binabayad namin, para maliwanagan sila sa ginagawa nila pamimilit at pagpressure sa mga client nila, na dapat ang desisyon hindi dapat 45 mins lang din, san ka makakita ng ganun? Then after nagsalita naman ito si manager, na may options daw, di na pinagpatuloy ng tatay ko yun sasabihin niya, at kinuha na yun letter ko tapos pinareceived nalang next week daw tatawag daw sila kasi nilagay ko din contact information ko and then umalis nakami dahil ayaw na din pahabain yun tatay ko yung usapan at iikot nanaman ang istorya.

    Tapos yung naglalakad na kami palabas, napagisip namin na may account nga pala ako sa kanila which is yung ginamit ko na debit card, yung card number nun, sinabi ko din sa tatay ko yun tapos kailangan namin ng statement of account "cancel upon inception", tapos pagkabalik namin dun nakausap namin ulet yung manager ng tatay ko, at ayun sinabi niya yun about sa account ko nga, then also may pinakita pa siya na paper na pinirmahan ko na nagpapatunay na may authority sila na iswipe yun debit card na aware naman ako, pero im not satisfied sa panahon ngayon madali na makakuha ng pera thru hack, then also ito nanaman si manager, yun kasama na CSR niya mukhang wala na sa timpla yun itsura e, pero cool pa ito si manager, pero alam ko nangiinit na din siya e, then after ng paguusap nila ng tatay ko, ako na nagsalita sabi ko kung ano man yan sabihin mo hindi na ako interisado, ang pinunta ko lang dito ay icancel ko yun policy at marefund yung pera ko, and he insist na di daw pwede marefund pero sabi ko paano mo mapapatunayan na hindi nga refundable, nasa contract ba diba wala? ang sabi nun manager nasa video confirmation daw, e sabi ko naman dapat naka written yan kung meron pero wala naman ako sinulat na ganun kaya pwede pa ito mairefund, it doesnt mean pag may video ka yun na yun confirmation na di nga refundable, BIG NO! Kaya yung iba dyan na gusto niyo mairefund ang initial payment niyo may laban kayo e, di naman nakasulat sa contract yan, be strong kayo dun, wag na kayo magpauto sa kanila, and after that tinanong ko kung may grace period wala daw, pero yung tumawag ako sa opis nila sa ortigas meron daw, medyo magkataliwas ang sinasabi, kaya di na ako naniniwala sa manager, kaya i have to chance to say na SA MADALING PANAHON KAILANGAN KO NA MAIREFUND YAN, nakakainis grabe, sabi ko sana nga next week okay na at maibalik na yun pera, we didnt received any statement of account, at tinanong ko kung kailangan pa ako ibalik sa kanila sabi hindi na kasi may copy sila, ayun after that mukhang galit si maneger e :) ayun guys, basta magsama lang kayo para may force din kayo, kasi pag magisa lang kayo mahirap e, kaya niyo yan, be consistent sa sinasabi niyo and be strong, next week pa ako magpapafollow up para mangulet ako :)

    1. YOU KNOW WHAT SANA NABASA KO TO KAHAPON PA. Nagparenew ako ng licence ng PRC ko nag ikot ikot ako sa SM SOuthmall.. sino ba mag iisip na may SCAMMER sa mall at nagmamay ari ng stall doon?
      They slashed 13,500 from my credit card and maliban dun the same day (ilang oras lang ang lumipas) ayaw na nila ibalik ang pera ko. 13,500 is 13500.. nung una nga 69K ang hinihingi sakin,. sabi ko malaki tapos naging 49K.. nung parang susukuan na ko, sabi nung parang manager 13500 nlang daw.. akala ko naman totoo na insured ka pero sa mga nabasa ko tineterminate nila yung contract kapag magmamature na yung plan.. GRABE TALAGA!!! HIndi ako papayag na bolahin ako ng mga taong ganyan, maglabasan n tayo ng BAHO, ipapamedia ko sila.. at isusumbong na iSNWIPE (swiped) nila yung credit card ko bago ko nakita ang policy at nalaman na non refundable.

    2. hi po.napacancel nyo na ba yung kinuha mong plan?pls reply po...nadali din po kasi ako Gateway,Cubao Php43,672.00 pero ATM ginamit ko.bumalik ako dun para ipacancel pero d nila tinanggap yung reason ko at sabi tatawag daw sila pagkatapos nilang pag aralan.

  3. Wow... I'm speechless. I want to say "Good Job" because you were firm, YOU CHECKED YOUR POLICY and you justified your right based on your contract and the legalities within it. Tumawag din ako sa call center nila to make sure I was doing the right thing during the time I terminated my plan.

    Tama naman talaga si Papa mo. Decisions like these should never be rushed or pressured upon you. Financial decisions need time to be studied and assessed kaya pag pinipilit ang isang agent mag sign ng isang bagay na he isn't fully ready to sign, considered harassment na yun... Tapos pag iniintimidate ka at di ka pinapaalis... that is still harassment.

    Kahit na ipalabas pa nila yung video na yun, wala silang magawa dahil it wasn't written on the contract. As for them asking why you are cancelling, insurance agents have the right and responsibility to do so. PERO they do not have the right to simply say no just because hindi nila matanggap yung sagot mo (especially if the policy has a cancellation/"grace period" clause). Kaya it is always important na basahin yung policy.

    Thank you for sharing your experience. Regarding naman sa pangungulit, you remind me of one of the persons who commented on the previous blog post. She mentioned na tumawag sya araw-araw sa call center nila para marefund kagad yung pinacancel nyang plan.

And correction, wala po ako napirmahan na non-refundable papers regarding sa plan, authorization letter pala yun para maiswipe nila yun debitcard or creditcard, siguro dahil sa pagmamadali ko sa pagsusulat di ko na napansin kung ano paper ang sinusulatan ko :) Guys may pag asa pa, magpatulong kayo sa parents or sa mga kapatid niyo! Wag niyo itry mag isa, na try ko na at hindi ko kaya hehe, be consistent and strong lang po, pero cool pa din, pero when in times na medyo di na nasa side niyo alam niyo dapat gawin niyo, i will keep you updated, sana po maipakalat pa itong story ko sa ibang blogs or social networking site :) thank you

  5. Ask ko lang po, wala sila sakin binigay na Statement of Account "Cancel Upon Inception" Paano yun? Ano ba function nun? Just asking, kasi sinunod ko lang yung procedures kung paano ipacancel yung plan, thank you po blogger

    3. Pasensya na po. Limited lang experience ko sa LABB Plus. Actually, yung nagcomment din sa kabilang blog post, din pa rin naman nakapag update kung kamusta na yung LABB na pinacancel nya rin.

      Masmabuti siguro kung tawagan nyo po yung call center nila at tanungin kung ano na status nung LABB Plus mo na pinacancel.
      Kulitin mo araw araw, hopefully makatulong.

II am a recent victim of this thing..ask ko lang po sana,how long I have to wait for the issuance na cancelled na yung policy contracts ko?How about if ceedit card ang nagamit ko?will it automatically say na ma e refund yung money ko once i have that stat paper stating cancelled na yung policy contracts ko?pls reply po soon.

I have filed and submitted cancellation letter of my policy contracts pero la pa along nakukuhang statement from their office na cancelled na yung contracts ko...How long do I have to wait???will it then be a proof yung paper na yun na void na din ang mga transactions that was done with either my bank or creditcard accounts?

  8. Na-uto rin po ako. Kahapon lang (Oct 31,2013). I was just walking around sa mall dito sa Cagayan de Oro, when all of a sudden, someone "bumped" into me and handed me a raffle flyer. I said no pero nag insist siya. Being the polite and kind person that I am, sinunod ko yung sinabi niya. I mean, why not? Diba? Maybe i'll win. Pero wala talaga akong intention noon na magpurchase ng endowment policy LABB plus & LAP insurance worth Php4,850! Wala talaga! Parang brinainwash nila ako doon! Or hinpnotize. It was a weird feeling kasi i knew i shouldnt have bought it, pero for some odd reason, i wasn't able to speak up and say i didnt want to buy the insurance! Pero ayun, nabili ko, and SUPER regret ko na ngayon. Sobra. Student po ako, and wala akong work. I'm afraid na kukunan pa nila yung bank account ko in the future... I want to cancel this policy with them. Whats worse is that i was only visiting the city kung saan ako na-uto! I'm going back to where i really live tonight and i have no idea how i'm gonna get everything done... MALAS talaga ako. Holiday pa naman ngayon. Pumunta ako sa office kanina and wala silang opisina ngayon. Leche talaga.

    1. Baka pwede mo syang asikasuhin sa ibang branch. Masmaganda siguro kung tumawag ka sa cell center nila tapos tanungin mo kung pwedeng dun mo sa other branches ifollow up kasi you're no longer in the area where you purchased the plan.

      Try to remember if the policy was a one time payment. Tapos read mo naman yung policy mo before going into their office para prepared ka.

Mabuti na lang nabasa ko itong review about sa Philippine Prudencial at malaki talaga ang tulong sa aming mag asawa ang mga comment kasi naipacancel agad namin ang Wealth Builder insurance na inalok sa amin at inaprubahan naman nami. Hindi na namin itinuloy ang paghulog sa PPLIC kasi nga SCAM ito na gumagamit ng credit card.
    November 16, 2013 kami nabiktima ng PPLIC. Nabudol budol kami sa bilis ng pangyayari eh nakuha agad ng agent ang credit card ng asawa ko ang sabi titignan lang iyon pala isiniwayp (swipe) na ng agent. JERIC MASO ang name ng agent. November 18, 2013 bumalik kami sa opisina ng PPLIC sa Ortigas para ipacancel ang Wealth Builder namin at ipinareceive namin sa kanila ang CANCELATION LETTER namin. Kinuha nila sa amin lahat ng original documents na binigay nila sa amin nung November 16, 2013 at pina noted din namin sa kanila. Tinawagan namin ang East West (cc company) para iblock ang anumang pumasok na PPLIC payment.
    Salamat sa Diyos at wala kaming cash na ibinayad sa kanila. Malaking tulong ang pag search ko sa internet at mabasa ko ang review about PPLIC.

Hello po.. nabiktima din ako ng PPLIC last 2011 sila yung mga naka office attire tapos sasabihin nila nanalo ka and may interview for 45 minutes na naging two hours ang tecnique nila jan mabilis sila magsalita tapos yung music malakas. Para di mo maintindihan. Parang pwersahan talaga! Buti nalang within two weeks nakuha ko na agad ang pera ko. Manloloko yang mga yan.

Last Dec 8, 2013 naloko din kami nugn frined ko jan. naubos ung oras namin na imbis na ipapasyal namin.. buti na lang ung card ko sira ung chip so di ako naglabas ng pera. sana di naman nila mahack ugn account no o whatever.. kaso ung friend ko kahit dinedabate nia na ung presentor sa inis nag cash sia. good thing ung 350 lang whichis insurance lang at hindi naman un ung inexplain ng mahaba, iba pa sa endowment fund un.. Nako wag kayo paloko dito.. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. paulitulit pa ung presentor pipilitin ka na one time lang ung chance mo! Corny pa ng inoooffer, Accidental Life INsurance at Dental? gago nila

    2. talaga po..kasi last night pinipilit nila ako to swipe my card i told them na naka maximum na ko, pero pinipilit nila ako to swipe it, kasi daw baka i approve pa ng bank, but sinabi ko na no talaga.. kasi ndi rin biro ung amount na pina pa swipe nila..ang worry ko they might use my info to hack may card...kasi tingin sila ng tingin sa card ko..

Sa SM North SM Megamall at Gateway.. uutuin ka ng raffle na "maawa ka naman sa bakla, pag nanalo ka sa raffle mananalo din ako. tulong nio na din to mam/sir. anong gusto mo gym bag? tumbler? clock? eco bag? sandali lang to mam/sir. lika kunin natin mam'sir." NAKO WAG KAYO PAPA-UTO! Wala ka daw babayaran! ekek. HOLDUP YAN NG DI MO NAMAMALAYAN! DI KA NILA PAPAALISIN HANGGAT DI KA NAG BABAYRAD ONAG SWIPE NG CREDIT CARD MO!

    2. hi Dr. Tamayo, LABB PLUS po yung na avail ko sa kanila.. and unfurtunately nakita ko na may pinirmahan po ako sa declaration nila na "i clearly understand that the payment placed is non-refundable" 4,500php po ung binayaran ko sa kanila.. wala n po b talaga akong laban na ma-refund pag ganun? :(

  15. Good Morning everyone. I have read all your comments and predicaments regarding this PPLIC insurance. I am also a plan holder. It was year 2012 when I applied here at SM City Cebu. At first I was really hesitant to sign their docs but they got me. I did sign it and allow them to debit i think that was 34,000+. And after that night I cant stop thinking about it. How could I ever trust this un-established company. So after a day I think, I've decided to cancel my plan so I went back to their office at SM Cebu. I talked with one of their supervisor and they asked why I would cancel my plan. I said I am not interested anymore and I will use my money for other things. Then they offered me that instead of cancelling my policy, why not just downgrading my plan to a lower premium. So napag-isip isip ko rin na sige, why not kaysa maubos lang pera ko na walang maayos na pupuntahan. I considered it as just a mere savings. In my mind, makuha ko din naman ang pera in the future. Pero actually kinda hindi na talaga ako kampante sa situation. I really thought that this company is ok and no hidden agenda. My bad I didn't make any research regarding PPLIC. Not until now I read this blog and I found out that there are so many complaints about this Insurance Company. I am thinking of terminating my plan with PPLIC but I dont know if I can still able get my money back. It's more than a year already that I've been paying my monthly premium amounting to 980.00Php which is payable for 5 years. By the way, they refunded me 23,000 if I am not mistaken that time when I downgraded my plan. It's also an endowment type worth 175,000 and goes down to 100,000 after I downgraded it. Is it possible to terminate my plan and still get my money back? even if I cant get 100% of my money, I am willing to terminate it. Please help... By the way I am Mark Anthony...     1. Hi, I am sorry to hear that. I had my plan terminated after 1 year of paying my PPLIC endowment plan. I have shared my experience here: http://digitalbrew.blogspot.com/2012/04/battle-with-philippine-prudential-life.html in an attempt to vent my frustration.
      You and I seem to have the same experiences with them.Unfortunately, you won't be able to get your entire money back. If you will be terminating your plan now, you will be receiving the prorated cash value of your terminated plan. This will amount to about 1/3 of your original total payment to them. And be careful of those grace periods, PPLIC even deducted a "late payment" even when I was within the grace period.

    2. Thanks haopee for the feedback. I am worried because my BDO Account where they are debiting my monthly premiums was already closed due to insufficient balance. It is VISA type ATM card and have a minimum maintaining balance of 15k. It's been while since it went down to the required maintaining balance, maybe thats the reason it has been deactivated. I am worried because I've been hearing comments about their Plan being terminated without notice. Is it possible? I still didn't get the time to visit their office coz Im busy with work. And if ever I will be terminating my plan, Is it possible to have my refund cash value thru check? You got your refund through check right, haopee?

    3. Unfortunately, some of the rumors are true. Or perhaps for some crazy reason, their decision in terminating the Danvil holders' plans due to an absurd technicality is justifiable.

      Anyway, yes, once you get your plan terminated, it will be given a prorated cash value that you will be receiving via a check

  16. hi im joy..na experience ko rin yang modus ng phillipine prudential life last night December 16,2013 im just worried kasi kahit pa ndi nla ako napilit to swipe my card..may mga info ksi ako sa knila..baka kasi ma hack po ung card ko, then baka magulat na lng ako na may babayran na pla ako..buti na lng talaga i said no to them kahit anong pilit nila....but im still worried kasi may info nila ako..ano po kaya pwede kong gawin..pwede ko bang sabihan ung bank ko na wag mag entertain ng may kinalaman sa Philippine Prudential..

  17. good day!! im albert. after reading this blog im so worried na. nabiktima ako nung dec.3 2013 ehh namamasyal lang ako sa sm manila. badtrip ung babae tapos pinipilit nia tlga ako. nag hindi na ako ng maraming beses sa unang presyo na biniggay nila sakin para sa initial payment sabi ko hnd ko kaya. pababa ng pababa hanggang sa napilit nila ako sa 16k initial payment for endowment.. seaman po kasi ako.. so plano ko po ngaun ay ipa cancel na ung contract.. ang tanong ko po, pwd po ba tlga icancel ung contract na wala pang 15 days? or pwd pb icancel kahit lagpas na ng 15 days? at marerefund po ba ng buo ang 16k?

    wala kasi silang binigay na policy nila. meron lang ako ehh ung confirmation copy, endowment plan, at application for insurance.

    1. There's no harm in trying naman eh. Sinabi ba sayo kung ano yung kinuha mo?Is it LABB? Kasi according sa most ng nagcomment dito, yung LABB daw is non-refundable. Since wala po kayong policy, baka walang cancellation clause sya. Pero check nyo na rin yung endowment plan at lahat ng documents na naibigay sa yo. Read it thoroughly and call their hotline if it can be cancelled. Make sure to ask the name of the agent na kausap mo.

      Before you go to PPLIC, always make sure that you read your policy or whatever document was given to you. Most of the time, you will find the answers there. And if not, punta ka nalang sa office nila and be firm that you want it to be cancelled. Assuming it can be cancelled at parang di pa sila pumapayag, then be firm and get their names. Tapos report na rin sila for harassment. Wala kasing masyadong nagcocomplain sa kanila sa insurance commission, kaya hanggang ngayon kahit illegal yung tactics ng iba, tuloy pa rin sila sa pagbebenta.

  19. im nel.... feeling ko din naloko din ako, kasama ng bayaw ko kahapon lang, dec30,2013.... gateway mall, may bibilhin lang sana kami sa cd r king na malapit sa office kuno ng PPLIC.. pero may mga kumausap samin at pnilit kaming kunin daw yung gift from PPLIC, dahil daw may credit card at debit card kami.... tapos sinali kami sa raffle promo nila which is auto and fly 2 to bangkok. then, may kakausap samin presenter na nagtagal ng almost 2hrs... Nag fill up kami ng form na madami. napa-oo nila ako for the endowment plan. tapos yung bayaw ko labb plus lang.... pls. tulungan nyo naman po ako sa problema ko ko paano ko marerefund yung initial payment ko which is almost 40k.... at saka pano ko marire assured na di nila makukuha yung natirang balance ko in my debit card? at kailangan ko bang ipacancel na yung credit card ko para di na nila pwedeng magamit yun sa kalokohan nila?... i need some reply pls.... ty guys

    1. Hello po. If di nila pinalitan yung 15-day cancellation policy nila, you can still have your plan cancelled. In my case, I went to their office and wrote a termination letter dahil sa akin lagpas na ng 15 days (1 year and a half, to be exact).

      Marami po kayong mababasa dun na comments regarding other people's experiences with their cancellation.

      Bottom line, pakibasa nalang po ng policy nila (para alam nyo po ang lahat ng isasagot sa kanila if they try to convince you otherwise) at tumawag sa call center nila (para malaman kung ano ang kailangan dalhin sa office nila pag icacancel mo na).

      They are a legal business (which remains to surprise me) and so far, all their deceiving tactics are verbal and non-documented reason why di nila kayang kunin yung pera sa debit card mo once your plan has been officially cancelled/terminated.

  22. sa rin po ako sa Napilit at naging biktima ng Philippine Prudential na yan savi saglet lang pero inabot kame ng 3 Hours na pilitan. . . na avail ko yung LABB Plus or yung Life insurance nila na P4,500 gamit yung ATM koh . . .
    Kinakabahan po ako na baka mabawasan pa nila yung laman ng ATM Card ko . . . nid ko po ba i close yung account ko sa ATM maraming salamat po sa kasagutan ...

      Ano nakalagay sa resibo/policy nyo po? Also, did you sign a paper giving them authorization to debit your account? Yun yung parang may boxes kung saan iiinput nyo po yung card number nyo, name nyo, at signature... kung wala, I don't think you have to be concerned.

      Ilang beses ko na rin kasi nadiscuss yung tungkol dyan sa comments. At marami ding comments ang nag shashare kung kelan naibalik sa kanila pera nila.

      Naibabalik naman ang pera... misan, depende sa kung anong klaseng payment ang ibinigay nyo, yun rin ang speed ng pagbalik. If I recall correctly, yung sa may ATM, they received their money in less than 30 days.

      Legal naman yung PPLIC, yung mga agents lang talaga ang walang business ethics/professionalism kasi ayaw nilang mabawi yung sale nila.

    1. Sorry for replying to late. Been busy with personal matters. That's impossible that even if the manager is on-leave, walang acting manager. It's the same as saying na di pumapatak ang days na you have the contract in your hands, especially if it has the 15-day review clause.

      Supposed to be, yes, you could demand it from them. Unfortunately po, mukhang nakalusot sila dun sa "manager is on leave". What you could do is call their main office para iask what the requirements are in cancelling it na wala ka sa Pilipinas. Most likely they will ask you to write an authorization letter and your letter of cancellation. Palusog talaga mga yan.

      Suggest ko po, read your policy, familiarize the clauses on cancellation and authorized representation, call their call center and ask what the requirements are, and make haste. If your plan has a clause on cancellation, then baka maprocess mo pa sya.

    parang nanghi-hypnotize nga sila, ung khit parang pkiramdam mo may mali sa simula plang, pero tuloy ka parin, pumirma ka parin. Paglabas mo ng office, dun mo narealize na parang na holdup ka.
    Anyway, LABB plus ung naavail ko for 1yr, worth 4500, nabasa ko sa declaration form na nonrefundable nga ito. Concerned lng ako sa authority to debit and charge. Naka lagay kasi "this is to authorize PPLIC to debit and charge to my card the amt of 4500 as INITIAL premium payment for my policy..." ...kinakabahan ako kasi bka kakaltasan parin nila atm card ko sa future...

  29. Hi. I am a new victim here and I want to ask your opinions and suggestions on what to do to cancel the policy and take back my Php9000. I was scouted in Limketkai mall, Cagayan de Oro. What happened was like I was trapped by the PPLIC people. I can't do anything because I was alone and it was already around 6pm.
    Everything happened in a rush that they ordered me to sign this and that until I ended up taking this LABB PLUS.
    I immediately went back to the mall after like 15 hours to cancel the policy and refund yet they rejected it because I signed a Term Policy and it is non-cancelable and non-refundable. It is in their OWN RULES because each PPLIC branch or mall they are lurking have different RULES daw tapos yung sa kanila is NO GRACE PERIOD, NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-CANCELABLE. It is in the contract daw pero I read the contract again and again also the declaration pero I have not read anything about the Cancellation, Grace period. Yung non-refundable, OO pero ang nkasaad doon is kung ma-eexpire na yung policy tapos hindi siya ngagamit o kaya nman itatransfer siya sa ibang policy. Hindi na man nkastate doon na non-refundable siya if the policyholder wishes to cancel the policy. Kaya, yun ang pinanghahawakan ko.

    I emailed the Insurance Commission about this concern pero I still don't have any response until now.

    Ah! At meron pa, sabi nila, kahit na magdala daw ako ng abogado, wala na raw akong magagawa kasi their rules are rules daw na hindi ko nakita sa papel. Tapos bigla sila napaisip nung I mentioned that I'll raise this concern sa Insurance Commission which is ginawa ko na pero wla pang response.
    May mususuggest pa ba kayo na dapat kong gawin?

    1. I think you're on the right track. Minsan kasi, they do abuse that people do not know their rights. Unfortunately, if you do want these people to take you seriously, you need someone who is knowledgeable with the laws of insurance. Even I, am not familiar with those. Try mo magpatulong sa insurance commission. Go to their office and seek a capable official's help. They might help you with your contract (kasi meron ka namang copy ng signed contract mo, right?)

      Finally, I wish you the best of luck. I know a lot of people vent their frustrations here... unfortunately, not a lot of them take action. And even those who do, surprisingly just fade away-- like yesterday's news.

      As for LABB Plus being non-refundable, this is unfortunately true. My knowledge regarding the details of this plan is limited, though. I haven't read the policy yet.

Nakakuha ako ng policy last March 30, 2014.. then after that ng mabasahan ko sa mga blog yung about sa mga reklamo at mga panloloko nila, halos pareho talaga yung ginawa nila sayo at sa akon kung pano ka nila mapakuha ng policy. Gusto ko lang malaman if napa cancel mo na ba yung policy mo kasu bumalik ako duon, bwal daw i-cancel kasi non-refundable daw..pwede mo ba ako matulungan. taga cagayan de oro rin ako..

Standard ang mga regulations ng insurance commission they have to approve the polisy before nila pwede ibenta sa public in general if i may suggest get legal advice at magsamasama na lahat ng may reklamo to have one strong voice.

    1. Hi po.. nakabalik ka ba ng rob manila? I was a victim earlier today (03-17-14) and i cant sleep sa sobrang worry.. LABB + yung kinuha ko, 4,500 ung nacharge sa ATM DEBIT ko. Ang engot ko lang kase nagtatanong na ko sa agent named MARJO CARAIG na what if i come back nalang and think about it kase kung okay naman talaga sya then why do i have to decide right away? Dun na mismo agad gusto nya ko maglabas ng 13,500 considering that i am not working yet and do not have a stable source of income. Kaya inoffer nya ung 4500. Ako naman uto-uto inisip ko, ay 1 year lang naman yan, its like 12/day.. no biggie. Nauto ako sa mga pinagsasabi nya na "what if masagasaan ka paglabas".. tapos yun nga, i understood very clearly na NONREFUNDABLE sya, as stated sa Declaration na pinirmahan ko.. i decided to let this go and not seek anymore refund since nonrefundable nga. What's bugging me is what it my ATM gets charged/hacked? Kase i remember pinasulat nung agent sakin ung ACCT # ng card ko, eh diba dapat walang makaalam nun.. although di nga nakuha ung pin.. pero i cant stop worrying about this. What should i do? Tumawag sila ngayon nanalo raw ako at punta raw ako sa main office nila. Tinatanong ko ano napanalunan di naman nila sinasagot kasi kailangan pa raw i-encode para malaman. Duda nga rin ako kung pano nila napapa-payag ang mga customers nila. Di kaya may nilalagay silang drug sa inooffer nilang drinks? Kase i noticed nung nagdecline ako sa first offer, nagoffer nanaman sya after a few mins. Tska i think ung loud music din andun para makadistract.. so u dont think clearly outside of what they are talking about.. maguumpisa ka palang magsalita, uunahan ka na nila.. haaaay. Lesson learned.. thanks for this blog. Kaya din siguro one-time offer lang to, kase baka pag nakalabas ang customer, at i-google sila, hindi na bumalik.. i must say naisahan nga nila tayo..

    1. Namention ko na po ito dati. Assuming hindi ka nag sign ng Auto-Debit form, you don't have to worry. Yung auto-debit form is yung paper na nilalagay mo yung name mo, account number at may signature sa baba.

      PPLIC is still a legitimate business. They will not stoop as low as debit your account without your permission. Kasi pag ganyan na ginawa nila, not only will customers have verbal proof against them, customers will also have documented proof na kinukuha nila yung pera ng customer na wala silang right. LABB + is non-refundable, unfortunately. Don't dwell, yan yung nagpapasakit.

      If you feel unsafe, go to your bank and ask for their help in clarifying PPLIC's limits.

    2. hi po. ako po ung anonymous dated 03-14-14. nagpunta po ako next day para makuha ung aking endowment kasi ewan ko ba. . .parang napa-oo na lang ako. ang sabi lang kc nila isswipe nila ung card q eh.. until ayun nakuha ung 43,000+ ko for endowment. ang engot-engot ko nga! pero nung bumalik nman ako, I really talked to them and told them look, I am not interested anymore kc nung kinompute ko as in lugi. maghuhulog ako ng hanggang 5 yrs. then I totaled everything, I realized ung five years na hinulog ko is makukuha ko pa after 11 yrs. wow. dapat naghulog na lang ako sa alkansya. pinakancel ko siya, and ung girl dun sabi, bat daw ako nagpunta dun kung savings pala ang hanap ko hindi insurance. dapat daw sa bank ako nag punta. haleer! 20 years old insurance? d ko p nga naiiicp n mamamatay ako eh. and besides I didn't have any .0001% intention to go there. nanghahaltak lang ung mga tauhan nila. and tayo naman, we just tried to be polite at may raffle pa daw.. anyway po, ang sabi after 30-45 days ko pa makukuha 43k ko. nakakapanggigil lang. it took them 1 min. to get my money but it will take a month or so for me to get it back. nga pla I don't know kung ano na mangyayari sa labb+.. non-refundable daw ee..and nakasign ako..and dun sa cancellation letter ko sa endowment, nilagay ko (kasi inutos rin nila) na I am aware about that policy na labb+ is non-refundable.....huh sayang ang 9k. . :( iniisip ko lang na kung pupunta akong Insurance Commission (IC) di kaya maquestion nila ako at sabihin na I am aware na non-refundable itong labb+..... baka sabihin pa nila, sinulat ko pa sa cancellation letter ko...ano pa nirereklamo ko? hayyyy. oh well..tama na ... I just wanted to forget this thing. sana lang wag ko pa magamit ung labb+ na un haha. ayoko pa mamatay. ang labb+ kasi, magagamit lang pag patay ka na. so sana, sa ating lahat na nag-avail nun, wag po muna sana nating magamit..haha.... at kung di ko n rin mababawi ung 9k ... ok lang.. tanggapin na lang.. siguro ganun talaga ang buhay..may mga MAHAL na moral lesson.. ah basta next time n may humabol sa akin at mag alok ng kung anu-ano, d na ako magpapaka-polite. iisnabin ko na cla. grabe. as in napaiyak ako hahah. sayang. pero susundin ko c haopee.... pupunta ako ng bank ko... para makasigurado.. thanks for this website. dami ko natutunan ;)

Back when I had written my first post on them, I just wanted to vent... and then I realized marami pala yung nahirapan mag terminate sa kanila... actually marami yung nahirapan mag cancel ng plan nila. I just hope that they will see na most Filipinos are beginning to become aware of investing properly.

      I am glad you computed your interest. Actually, that was the first thing na kinompute ko before I signed in. Back then, I thought the 11% was good enough... pero it so happens na yung 11% na yun... in 15 years time mo pa makukuha wherein 5 years nung 15 na yun, babayaran mo...

    4. try mo padin ipunta sa IC yan (labb plus) kht nakaindicate na non-refundable un, sabi sakin ni mam Lourdes Ramos public asst sa IC ang life insurance dapat monthly binabayaran at kun ayaw mo na irerefund ung unused payment. meron binigay ang pplic sakin na SOA na cancel upon inception an labb plus ko just waiting for 30-45 days for refund to show on my acct. hopefully soon na maibalik agad tulad ng endowment ko. will keep u guys posted. ~theresa

  37. hello guys, just happened this to me today, I signed an endowment plan with LABB+ worth 43K. Ipapacancel ko na bukas kasi hindi naging maganda ang pakiramdam ko after. Hindi ko naman sinasabi na naloko ako. It's just that disappointed ako sa sarili ko na hinid ako nag-isip ng mas matino. nagcompute din ako pag-uwi ng bahay. ayon. so lugi nga naman. wala pa naman akng 15 days kay ipapacancel ko na. My fault, wala naman akong masisi kasi ATM ko yun eh. ako yung nag-pin ng code. Nasa kanila pa yung plan ko kasi pina-mail ko na lang dapat. anyway, ipapacancel ko na lang talaga, pupunta na ko agad don para di na naila mai-mail. Basta endowment may 15-grace period di ba? basta pwede ko pang ipacancel within 15 days? siguro yung LABB bahala na. basta yung remaining money makuha ko.

    1. Regarding sa endowment, wala na talaga silang magawa if ipacancel mo kasi it has a look up period. Yung sa LABB naman, di daw refundable talaga, pero hopefully somebody can shed some light regarding this issue dahil ang mahal nya for a-- ilang years nga yun?-- one year insurance.

    2. hello, di ko nga din alam kung bakit ang mahal ng akin. Na cancel ko yung endowment pero yung LABB+ ayaw nila. As in ayaw talaga nila. susulat pa nga ako sa IC regarding this kasi kahit non-refundable sya, weird kasi na hindi ko alam prior nung umoo ako na may kasama palang LABB PLUS ang ENDOWMENT PLAN. Inexplain nila after ko nang magbigay ng money. One year lang yung LABB PLUS ko eh.

    1. It's not a scam. As I've said, PPLIC is a legal insurance provider. Unfortunately, their marketing tactics and the way these sellers convince people to buy the insurance is wrong... perhaps because they know na ang baba ng return of investment nila... tapos ang mahal pa ng insurance nila.

      I still don't know the scope of LABB Plus, pero I have a feeling na dehado pa rin yung customers kahit na PPLIC's intention is to have them insured..I hate it when they try to instill fear in people saying "Papano kung masagasaan ka ngayon"... that's just stupid. What makes today different from any other day? Hindi naman tayo mga bobo na parang tutunganga lang sa road. I will start respecting them if they show us the numbers.

      To PPLIC marketers, give your clients statistics... show them why you're better than other insurance companies... pag 'yan nagawa nyo, then hindi na kayo pagdududahan na scam at nang-uuto.

Hi guyz im mailyn just asking after i read your comments regarding PPLIC i can say tama yung mga naiisip ko na sobrang mali talaga yung nagawa q im one of the victim this march 22,2014 i dropped by at sm north para mag canvassed lang ng telivision at appliance center then after i get out to appliance center there someone name MELVIN a consultant who called me & discussed to me about fly and drive promo of PPLIC first medyo na confused ako kasi he talk to fast about fly and drive promo and after that may mga freebies daw na ibibagay like tumbler, wall clock and a gym bag na walang bayad he ask me about my name,my recent job and if i am a cardholder what is my bank and kung kailan ko lang to last na nagamit... then igave him my information then after our conversation regarding their promo he told me na pupunta pa daw kami sa office nila sa sm annex dahil nandun yung freebies na makukuha ko at kakausapin din ako ng isang consultant dun to discuss their company profiles for 45 minutes pati ng manager ... then sumama naman ako kasi sayang naman yung freebies tsaka wala naman daw babayaran ... then nang makarating kami dun may nakausap na kong consultant name NELLY ARAL she discussed me about the company background of PPLIC when it established and kung cnu cnu yung mga humahawak nito like president /ceo/ and other also she told me na may mga nag iinvest nga sa kanila using those dated documents she presented from their previous clients na nag invest nag rerange ng 30k, 20k, and 1610.00 a month then she ask me kung affordable ko ba ito or hindi sempre cnabi ko hindi dahil im a breadwinner marami akong bayaran dun palang parang confusing na talaga ako...then she ask if i am a cardholder of what bank then i told her im using eastwest cr card and a metro bank debit card she ask me din kung kailan ko last na nagamit and mag kano yung credit limit ko . ...then nung cnabi kong d ko kaya yun she offered me a LABB PLUS promo amounting to 4,500.00 a 1 year covered of insurance after a long conversation she convinced me to swipe my eastwest credit card amounting 4500 na na good naman they photo copied my i.d alangan pa din ako pero tru to her thoughts parang na bi brain wash nila ako kaya pumayag na lnag ako.
    Then after that i signed a lot of papers na nag sasabing i avail a LABB PLUS promo and w/ video pa para pag in case daw na mawala yung mga doc. may proof padin na nag avail ako ng LABB PLUS
    Then nung matapos na yung conversation namin dun Ms. Nelly told me na nag down daw yung system nila kaya wala syang mabibigay sakin an policy kaya balikan ko n lang or isabay ko na nlng sa pag kuha ko ng card ko for dental insurance after 2 weeks .
    Then after ng lahat ng yun she gave me my freebies w/c TUMBLER kasi ayun yung pinili ko.
    GUYZ pls help me naman regarding this matter pano ko ito ma ipapacancelled kasi mag rereplect na
    Yung 4500 na si swipe nila sa billing ko. I want to cancelled it talaga kasi sayang 4500 ...

  41. ms. marilyn! nandon ako ng March 22, 2014. Nagpacancel ako nung akin kasma yung kapatid ko kaya lang yung ENDOWMENT policy lang yung nacancel ko. yung LABB PLUS ayaw nila icancel. Kasi nga daw n0n-refundable. Kung gusto mo sumulat ka din sa INSURANCE COMMISSION. Kaka-email ko lang kanina. Kasi kakaiba naman. Nagpapatulong ako na maibalik yung 9K. Magkakaiba tayo ng presyo ng LABB PLUS. Yung akin 9000. T.T. Which I doubt na may pinagkaiba yung coverage ng plan nating dalawa. Pwede mong iqoute na iba-iba tayo ng price sa availment ng LABB PLUS. so clearly may fraud silang ginagawa.

    1. Hello po, Anon. Actually, yung sa inyo po is times two ng usual ko na naririnig na price ng LABB Plus. I think it's an upgraded version, pacheck nalang po, kasi baka 2 years yung coverage nyo.

      Unfortunately, these people have pretty much covered all the legalities. Yung mga marketers lang talaga nila yung very deceptive sa pagbebenta ng plans. The reason why kailangan nila mag stay sa mall is because they know na if they were situated elsewhere, malabong may kukuha ng plans nila especially since mababa ang returns.

      Paalala nalang po sa lahat, pag may tumatawag na sa 'yo sa number mo na di mo naman pinamigay, magduda ka na kasi they're not supposed to have it.

      then yun nga kina usap ako ng isang asst. manager dun and he asked me kung bakit ko nga ika cancell and sabi din nya non refundable nga daw yun then sabi ko im no longer interested sa plan and why not refundable eh wala naman sa contract maybe meron nga sa mga pi na signed nila but as i remember after na ma swipe yung card ko dun lang ako may na pinirmahang revocable kasi at first hindi naman yun ino pen ng consultant hanggat di pa na gogo yung transaction.. and he asked again but why? i told him due to financial reason kasi nga i am a breadwinner and madami pa kong kailangan pagkagastusan than insurance ... then i read my cancellation letter sabi pa nga nya yung letter ko daw is for endowment not for LABBPLUS insurance ewan ko sa kanya nag dadahilan lang talaga sya then after that he told me na i handwritten ko na lang daw kasi mas galing sa puso ASAR dba? well ginawa ko naman yun! sinabi ko sa letter ko na i papa cancell ko nga yung LABBPLUS na na avail ko last march 22 for personal reason.
      and that manager told me na ok ma'am this letter '' yung hand written letter ko'' will forward it to the management - head office for further investigation then may tinawag din syang isang customer representative na girl lumapit sakin dala yung letter na ginawa ko ayun naulit uli yung scenario that girl asked me why i cancelled my LABBPLUS insurance and so on and so on then sabi nya din sakin non refundable nga tsaka dala din nya yung letter na na pirmahan ko na may note na revocable nga .. well sabi ko sa kanya ma'am i admit i signed that paper na may note na revocable but after na yan ma swipe ng card ko so syempre no choice na ko kundi i signed ... then insist din regarding sa video sabi ko nga yes but that video is pina ka huli na din...
      then cguro na iisip nya na nga na wala na talaga kong interest sa inoffer nila she told me na ipapasa nga nila yung cancellation letter ko sa head office nila for investigation and for the approval of the mgt. whether it cancelled or not.. then i asked her kung mga ilang days ko malalaman yung result dahil gusto kong ma settle agad bago sya mag reflect sa billing ko.. and she told na this Tuesday april 02 wait ko daw yan. then sabi ko ok basta i will follow up that to the head office (02) 902-2300 that's the number... haizt sana ma settle na kasi i call to eastwest regarding sa 4500 na ma bibill sa kin hindi pala to pwede sa 12 or 6 mos. payments kasi di naman sya umabot ng 5,000.00 so if ever di yun ma approved sobrang nakakainis talaga kasi kailangan mabayaran within my due date....super dis appointed talaga ako...

Di nga naabutan ng isang week, nacancel din kagad. Pero endowment yun. I'm glad na straightforward kayo... and I'm glad that you memorized the events na nangyari... if that's the case kasi, parang napilitan ka na... kasi huli na yung pagpapasign-- parang hinigh jack pala yung datin nila.

  42. hello again, ganyan din yung akin. sabi nila for evaluation pa ng management. susulat na din ako sa insurance commission kaso no reply from them. hindi ko ngayon alam kung kailangan kong pumunta sa Insurance Commission directly. Ganyan din yung nangyari sakin. Di ko alam na may LABB PLUS ako nung nagbayad ako. sinabi lang nya yun sakin nung bayad na. so again, no choice din ako. Gusto mo bang pumunta directly sa may INSURANCE COMMISSION o sa HEAD OFFICE nila? kasi imagine yung LABB PLUS ko worth 9K and 1 month subscription din lang sya.

Nilagay ko don na di sinabi ng agent na may kasamang LABB PLUS yung Endowment na binayaran ko and na sinabi lang nya sakin nung bayad na ko. So ayun. sabi ko CONCEALMENT yun in a way. So kahit alam ko na NON-REFUNDABLE, yung way nang pagkuha nya ng consent ko is a type of FRAUD. So pwede syang ground para IVOID yung aking policy. wah. Kaso ala pa din silang reply as of yet. Gumawa na tayo ng LEtter of APPEAL natin, ikwento nyo na yung ginawa nung Agent nila kung pano kayo napa-oo. kung saan sa tingin nyo mali yung ginawa nila. then sabay-sabay tayong pumunta para magkaroon ng bearing.   53. As per google, the business is legit but the strategy is like a scam.

    Here's my story. Nagpaloko ako sa kahapon (April 12, 2014, Saturday). Tanga lang ang peg para maka-alis na dun sa office nila. After more or less 2-hour talk with the agent that supposedly 45 mins, I am really not decided to get that offer (LABB PLUS). Actually, hindi ko pa alam na LABB PLUS pala tawag sa alok nila. Hindi ako naging interesado sa offer na yon because I was hooked sa Endowment Gift na umaabot daw ng 6%-9% interest. Para maavail ko un, dapat daw kunin ko muna ung protection worth 9,000 para makapag upgrade ako anytime. Kung hindi daw, 1-Day chances lang daw un.

    I told them na ang debit card ko ay 2K nalang ang laman at ang physical credit card ko na dala that time is expire card (as my issuing bank upgrade my card kaya nila i-nexpire ung card na hawak ko). To cut the story short, I am well confident na hindi mag-pupush through ang card ko kahit i-swipe nila un kaya pumayag ako. Sabi pa ng isang manager "Try lang natin, depende pa din naman sa bank mo kung papayag sila or hindi." When they swiped it, it really didn't push through. What they did? They called my issuing bank for manual transaction. Kaya professionally hold-up ako ng Php 9,000 for that LABB PLUS.

    Take note, my video confirmation pa. But as I recall, when I was asked if I'm happy and satisfied for that Plan, I did not say yes right away. sabi ko lang, "hhhhmmmm.. sabay onting tango". That feeling made me realised that that's a Force Decision I just made.

    Pag-uwi ko, I did some research and led me this blog and other warning blogs pertaining to Philippine Prudential company.

    First thing I did is to write down all possible reasons for cancellation.
    And today (April 13), I called my issuing bank to report the incident. The customer service told me that the status was will outstanding (means floating and not yet added to my bill). She told me that she will BLOCK my credit card so that it won't be credited in my next billing. And if it pushed through, I need to send my issuing bank a Dispute Letter. Now, my next move is to write a request of cancellation of that policy.

    #BeStrong sa lahat ng na nahulog sa scheme na to. It is clearly stated in the video above that this scheme is a "Deceptive Marketing" (as per the Insurance Commission).

Fortunately for some of you, nakuha nyo kaagad yung policy ninyo para mareview ninyo, yung sa akin, di ko pa nakukuha. :-( Naiinis ako sa sarili sa pag-oo. Nagreflect na kasi sa billing ng cc ko yung bayarin. Nashock ako sa laki. Sabi ng agent pwede ko daw ipadefer o wag bayaran muna. Naku! Sangkatutak na interest ang babayaran ko pagkaganun. At isa pa, napakahaba ng mga pinagsasasabi nila tapoa ako naman oo ng oo kasi hininhintay ko na matapos at sabihing pagiisipan ko muna na magsign-up. Hayun, bigla nalang sila naglabas ng papel para pirmahan ko at credit card. Di ako nainform na kasama pala sa naswipe ang labb plus na yan. At ang pagkaalam ko sa october ko babayaran yung labb plus na one time payment. At isa pa, ang ingay ingay sa loob ng room. Malakas ang music at sabay sabay pa sila nagsasalita.I feel so stupid na pumayag ako. Ipapacancel ko ang policy ko. I am not satisfied with the turn-out. Grabe.

  57. ako din po nadali ng PPLIC nung lunes april 14,2014 sa gateway,cubao.plano ko rin po ipa cancel ang policy ko pero natatakot ako na bka hindi ko na mabawi ung ibinayad ko sa LABBPLUS ko,may nakalaga kasi dun na non refundable..tulungan po tayo para mabwi natin ng buo pera natin.

  58. hi all, Theresa here.. i have received an email from IC, they sent a letter to pplic requesting for refund on my behalf kaso tagal bago sila ngsend. then i just got my labb plus refund amounting to 4250 last april12. keypoint to get this is be firm na IC said this is refundable, its better kun sabay sabay kayo punta sa HO ng PPLIC wag sa SM north ave. okay din na lahat kau punta sa office IC nang makita nila ganu karami ang biktima.

  59. Hello po! I got my LABB plus last April 16 po and after reading all these posts I was overwhelmed with fear kasi nga they swiped away my 4,500 from my debit card. Gusto ko po sanang bawiin yun. I just wanted to ask po if ano yung inemail nio sa Insurance Commission so they could send an email na rin sa PPLIC to request for my refund. I'm from Iloilo po kasi. Thank you po.

Hi Antoneete!Saang branch po kayo kumuha ng plan?ako po ung nag blog april 18,2014.Pinapacancel ko ung plan ko pero di nila tinanggap ung dahilan ko sa canellation letter ko.Pag aralan daw muna nila tapos tatawagan lang daw ako kung ok na.Eto #09275346878 baka gusto mo tulungan tayo?Pinapanglaban kasi nila ung confirmation video sa mga client nila na gusting magpacancel.

    2. Hello, everyone. I do hope na mapacancel nyo yung non-refundable 'kamo' na plan. One of the comments here disturbed me because sabi nya daw, it was too late na ng nalaman nyang non-refundable yung plan. Her card was already swiped of the balance. This can be grounds for nullifying a contract especially if such vital information wasn't disclosed prior to receipt of payment.

      I do hope na matulungan kayo ng IC, They should have taken action regarding these illegal tactics a long time.

Hello po sa lahat.Sa lahat ng gustong magpa cancel ng plan sabay sabay tayo pumunta sa insurance commission para maalarma sila at ipareview o reklamo ung marketing tactics ng company.Posible kasi na talagang yun ang orientation nila sa pagbebenta dahil base sa karanasan ko at sa mga nabasa ko sa mga blog parepareho yung paraan nila.Ibig sabihin hindi lang yung agent ang may mali sa tactika sa pagbebenta kundi yun talaga ang orientation sa kanila ng company.Nakakatakot ung ganitong sistema nila sa pagbebenta karamihan pa nman na biktima nila yung mga gustong mag ipon!Legal nga ang company nila pero maling mali talaga ung paraan nila...

  66. Tumawag ako kay Irene Andrade dahil ito yung binigay ng IC sakin. Kanina malakas pa loob ko makuha LABB+ ko pero now naiiyak na talaga ako. Dami nya tanong sakin na parang napatanga nalang ako. (Bakit ka pumayag na iswipe yung ATM mo? di mo ba binasa yung blue paper authorizing them to debit money from your ATM? hindi mo ba binasa yung lahat ng pinirmahan mo bago ka mag sign? bakit hindi ka nag say no sa knila? pera mo yun eh bakit mo hinayaan na kunin eh sayo parin yung money dun sa ATM?) yung ang mga tinanong sakin ni Irene at nung sinagot koyun feeling ko ang bobo ko :(. bakit nga ba tayo nakuhanan ng pera? nakakalungkot talaga. sabi ko naman sa kanya, alam nyo maam kung bukal sa loob ko yung pag sign ko hindi ko na pag-aaksayahang tawagan kayo kaso hindi eh kasi parang may something dun sa way ng pag kuha nyo ng pera ko.

    1. okay lang yun. ang mahalaga natuto tayo. ibig sabihin next time kailangan na nating maging assertive. Ako din ganyan, umoo din ako. kaya nga next time pag pakiramdam na natin hindi tama wag na tayong tumuloy. Napressure kasi tayo kaya hindi na tayo nakapag-isip ng mabuti. Basta next time pag pera ang pinag-uusapan, maghinala na atyo pag pinagdedesisyon tayo agad ng hindi ka man lang binigyan ng panahon mag-isip.

      Alam na natin na may mali tayo, pero ang mahalaga gumagawa naman tayo ng paraan para mabawi yung pera. Kasi in away talaga mali yung marketing tactics nila. (Fatima)

    I arrived in SM North by 8:30pm today just to pick up my mom's eyeglasses..then suddenly a girl named IREECA approached me saying "hi mam good evening baka gusto nyo po raffle coupon for a trip and a car".

    Since mahilig ako sa travel, it caught my attention.. Sabi ko.. anu ba yan??
    Sabi nya "advertising promo po namin, bago po kasi ung company namin. Pwed po kayo manalo ng trip to thailand or vietnam. Ung nakaraan pong nanalo, sa macau nagtour. Ung nakaraan din po ganun din plus may revo car. Ang KAPALIT lang po pag nanalo kayo.. kayo po magiging endorser namin..un po kasi naisip ng boss namin para mas tipid kesa maghire ng artista, mahal pa un". Basta mam KAPALIT LANG po nito is PAPAYAG kayong iadvertise kami...parang ung panalo nyo po ang talent fee nyo.." ahhh ok i said..

    then I go first to eye lounge to claim the eyeglasses...then i read the back of the flyer..it was stated that to qualify for a raffle, you need to attend a presentation. Kaya nung bumalik ako...sabi ko "ms. Whats presentation this flyer talks about?"

    Sabi nya "ito lang yun mam, ung pag uusap natin, basta ibig lang sabihin nasabi ko sa inyo what company kami..para marami makaalam" walang bayad to mam..walang dapat bilhin..wala kaming inaalok dito..
    Then i said ok.. then sabi nya "punta po tayo sa office mam andun po ung freebies nyo" i was like "huh?? Hindi pa ba yang nakadisplay"..sabi nya "nasa office mam, kunin lang natin bago magsara"..

    so since i want the raffle and freebie..sumama ako.. then pag dating dun.. sabi "interviehin lang kayo saglit mam".. then ung girl ask about my info, atm and cards..kung kelan huling ginamit..etc.at kinokonfirm na pumapayag ako sa 45 mins na pagpapakilala sa company nila.. sabi ko "akala ko ok na ung presentation ni ireca, my iba pa ba??..sabi nya "saglit lng mam..ipapakilala lang sa inyo ung company..

    then aun..tinawag name ko.. pinakilala then
    pinafill up ng form.. NERRY name ng nag assist sakin..pinasulat din sakin anu ung dreams for myself..family..and future children..

    After that nag ask panu ko daw sisimulan mga dreams ko.. sabi ko..i was preparing for it..physically mentally and financially..then dun nagstart na mag present ng ipon churva.. may katext ako kaya hinahayaan ko lang magsalita..then she ask gusto ko daw ba ng 1million after 5years.. of course i said YES..

Sabi nya "hindi mam...example lang po ito para sure na may 1million kayo.. pwede po babaan depende sa kaya nyo.." then sabi pag sa bangko daw konti lang interest.. dun sa endowment..mas malaki makukuha mo.. then from that.. sabi ko.. i cant afford to have anothrr insurance.. then mapilit si ate.. sabi nya..dagdag lang naman daw un".. sabi ko "no im not interested" then sabi nya "wala na po ba kayong pera?? Kahit piso lang?? Gusto nyo po ako na magbayad sa piso na initial nyo.. sabi ko.. "haha cgeh ate..ikaw na din magpatuloy.. then i said again.. i don't need another insurance since i have AXA variable insurance already.. im insured there for 1mil and also i am insured in my own company". For the dental and medical..i also have it in my company.." then she said again..dagdag lang naman po ito.. sabi ko ulit "ms. at my point of view..ung inaalok mo sa akin is another expense! Why?? Coz i have it already FREE on my company..why should i spend 9k for those?? if ever can i gain back the 9k after a year?? Sabi nya.. no mam kasi ung benefits po ung kapalit..then i said "benefits po?? Pero at my case..i dont drink i dont smoke.. i dont have record being hospitalized.hindi rin po ako madalas magkasakit..i think 5yrs pa nung huli ako nilagnat..at ung dental po covered na din ng company ko..wala akong mapapakinabangan sa 9k na binayad ko?? Eh sabi nyo po IPON?? Pero walang ibabalik??
    Sabi nya "panu po pag may nangyari sa inyo paglabas nyo dito? At least insured po kayo.. sabi ko " may insurance na nga po ako?? Then sabi nya, mam after a year naman po pag nag upgrade kayo..makukuha nyo din po ung ipon nyo kasi sa inyo po un eh plus interest.. then sabi ko.. "how much will i get ?? Will i get the exact money?.. sabi nya "may mga cash value po kasi ung pera nyo mam.. so sabi ko "meaning po..hindi na xa at face value..so meanibg bawas na xa??" Sabi nya "eh ganun po talaga mam kasi my benefits po kayo nakukuha..but after 10 yrs naman po..makukuha nyo mas mataas na..kasi plus interest na po un.. sabi ko "how much is the interest? ..if a heard it right..sabi nya..mga 3-4% daw.. so sabi ko "ang liit naman po considering 10 yrs ung pera sa inyo.." then sabi ko..hindi po ko interested kasi di ko xa nakikitang ipon..nakikita ko xa as additional expense.. sabi ba naman "kayo mam eh sa ROI kayo kasi lage nakatingin".. i said of course..mahirap po kitain ang pera.. so hindi ka mag iinvest kung walang return..and i dont need those benefits coz i have already.. mas malaki pa..at 80% pa na kikita kasi nakainvest xa sa stocks.."

Kakaloka.. sabi ko pa "cgeh po pag iisipan ko nalang muna and i will do my own research before engaging to it..as i usually do".. sabi ni ms.nelly.. "di nyo na kailangan magresearch mam..eto na sinasabi na namin sa inyo ung kagandahan nito..and its one time chance po..if you lose it today..wala na po kayong slot..kung wala po kayo pera..ok lang installment naman..WALA daw ako ipon so better mag ipon.. sabi ko "my ipon po ako..but intended for my future travel and education..i also have investment in stocks and axa insurance..so i really dont need it according to my assessment..then in the end.. tumayo ako..pagkatapos ko ulitin mga dahilan ko.. sabi ko..im very sorry..i need to go.. ur 45 mins is over na po..you delayed me so much..gabi na ko makakauwe..hindi pa ko makakaimpake because of this..so please let me go.." paulit ulit panrin si ate na "sayang naman mam,kahit ung starter lang..madami kaming accountant client dito.. at marami din kagaya mong may insurance na pero kumukuha".. sabi ko "sila un mam..ako hindi talaga.. sabi nya pa "kayo lang mam ang hindi kumuha sa lahat ng pumunta dito
    . Sabi ko "ok lang ms. Kasi di ko talaga gusto.. so aun!!! Asar ang face ni ate Nelly at ung isa.. finally..pinakawalan din ako.. then i left another girl.. na i think napaoo nila kasi inuuto nila..i heard the lead said.. "o db mam..kahit masagasaan ka ngaun jan..insured ka na.. o kaya sabihin mo..ok lang barilin nyo ako..insured naman ako.. oh db mam??.. so rude of them..haaay naku.. bute nalang talaga..

    Grabeh ung pagsisinungaling nila mapunta ka lang dun.. grabeh din ung kulit nila..ara ka talagang hinaharass.. so guys beware..
    Legitimate naman xa..i have a friend na naganito din pala..haha nalaman ko after ko ikwento..eh tinuloy nya ung kanya kaso after 5yrs pa nya kasi makikita kung ok talaga o hindi ung insurance nya.. but according sakanya..nasayang din nya ung initial nya na around 23k kasi sobrang ikli ng 1yr na coverage..eh walang nangyari sknya di nya napakinabangan. But im hoping..ok xa after 5yrs para di sayang money ng friend ko..

  71. Hello! This is Antonette. PPLIC called me last night and told me that they already cancelled my LABB Plus. I just have to return the documents they gave me when I bought the plan. They told me that there is a Php 250.00 processing fee so Php 4250 would be returned to me. They told me that my money will be returned after 30-45 days.I told them it's okay as long as I can have my money back. After office, I'll go there to return the documents.
    I don't know how they were convinced to cancel my plan. I just gave them a cancellation letter 6 days after I bought the plan. It stated in my letter the rights I have as their client according to the Insurance Code. I even mentioned Title 4, Sections 26-27 which they violated. Maybe they found my reasons valid and was convinced to cancel the plan even though their contract stated that it was non-refundable.

  72. Hello! It's Antonette again. There's a format of a cancellation letter available in the net. I just copied it. I just revised the message and insert my personal reasons. I also included a section from the Insurance Code and relate them to my experience towards their marketing strategy.
    Actually, I gave the letter 6 days after bought the LABB Plus. When I got there to give them the letter, a lady (I guess it's their asst. branch manager) approached me. She told me that I can't cancel the LABB+ because it's non-refundable. But I really insisted and told them that I didn't know it was non-refundable until I was given the contract which they gave me to sign right after everything including the swiping of my card. I told them the whole process was wrong. But she really insisted and she even dared to raise her voice and I did too. We really had an argument. I even told her that there were others from other branches who had successfully cancelled the LABB+. Then she told me it's a case-to-case basis daw. So I said, "meaning I can cancel my own plan here. And if you don't make a move, I will ask help nalang from the Insurance Commission." And she told me "you can come here ma'am on the 1st week of May to speak with our manager because he's not around this time." I said okay then I left.
    I was just surprised that last April 29, they called me that they already cancelled the plan and I just have to return the documents. I was relieved after that. When I went there, they just got the documents and told me to follow it up after 15 days. The money daw will be sent back to my ATM after 30-45 days. And that was the end of it.
    After 15 days, I'll go there again to follow it up.

  73. Hi. Just call me Summers. I read all the the comments and blog here. I feel sad about there experience. I'm currently working in other Insurance Company which is under Life Division. In our company, we gave time for the client's to think whether he or she will get the proposed insurance plan by presenting proposals. We have agents that deals with them. In senior citizen client's we gave them free ten days free look-up of there policy. If hey are not satisfied on what the plan is telling them they are free to scratch and throw it on the garbage bin.

    Me and my husband also encounter this in South Mall. The moment I told them "We don't need that insurance because we are already have insurance in _______ and I'm also working on that company", they just leave us.

    Guys, all the benefits, clauses, phrases, inclusion were written in your policy contract. Read them and point them it out. Your Policy Contract is your greatest shield on what they will going to say.

    2. Hello po. I'm afraid you money is no longer refundable in full. The best you could get is its termination equivalent. Sadly, yung equivalent nya is napakamababa. A comment I recently read mentioned that sa 45K na ininvest nya sa company, only 7k yung equivalent na cash value dahil yung plan ya was less than a year old.

      All I can say is yung narecieve ko was less than 1/3 of what I paid when I had it terminated.

    1. Naku kanina lang din ako naganyan sa sm fairview, ilang beses ako tumanggi hanggang sa alas diyes na ng gabi pero nangungulit sila. Tas ayun napakuha ako nung LABB plus na tig 4.5k, pagkabayad ko saka ko lang sila nagbigay ng papel na non refundable pala. Ngayon lang ako nakapag isip isip. Nakakainis! Ngayon kelangan ko na nung pera! Susubukan ko nga tong cancellation letter na sinasabi nila. Try mo rin gumawa ng cancellation letter.

  78. Recent victim ako neto. From sm pampanga. Sabi ko babalik na lang ako to confirm pero ang sabi nila today lang daw ang offer. Sabi ko naman nandito lang kayo pano naging today ang offer? Kaso yung kumakausap sa akin tuloy2 ang pagsasalita at umoo ako s LABB PLUS nila. Lately ko napagtanto na binawasan muna nila ang atm ko before ibinigay ang terms and conditions. Ang masama pa may 1on1 kapa sa branch manager kuno at nirecord ang usapan namin na agree daw ako sa terms nila. Nadala ako sa mga sinasabi nila at di naisip ang lahat agad agad. May habol parin ba ako thru title 4, sections 26-27 ng insurance code? Pwede kasi nila sabihin na nauna nila irecord ang usapan namin bago binawas ang 4500 sa atm ko -ren

    1. Sorry to hear that. You could try to make a letter of cancellation using such reference. At pag di pa nila inaccept, padala nyo po yung letter sa Insurance Commission. If you've read my recent blog post titled Is PPLIC LABB Plus Refundable? , you will see na marami-rami na rin ang nakapagparefund ng LABB Plus nila dahil they failed to disclose na di sya refundable prior to closing the sale e.g. nung nadeduct na nila yung 4500 saka palang nila pinabasa yung terms and conditions stating na non-refundable sya.

  79. Guys, narefund din yung LABB+ at endowment ko. so may pag-asa. Sasabihin talaga nila na hindi refundable yung LABB+ (kasi yung endowment may 15-day look out period). Kaya magsesend kayo ng letter of reconsideration for cancellation sa email nila (lagay nyo yung reason. yung akin kasi hindi ko alam na may rider na kasama in the form of LABB plus yung ENdowment ko. so bayad ko na bago nila inexplain na non-refundable yon. so sabi ko this is a violation of contract kasi may concealment silang ginawa). Sa head office yon. i-cc nyo na lang din yung email nyo sa insurance commission (nasa site nila yung email add nila). Anyway, after nyo magsend ng letter tumawag kayo sa main office nila (wag mainip kasi sobrang laging busy. redial lang ng redial). iconfirm nyo sa head office nila kung natanggap nila yung inemail nyo. after non, follow-up lang kayo lagi (by phone lang ako kasi may trabaho ako.) then, tatawag sila sa inyo kapag cancelled na yung plan. Papupuntahin nila kayo sa branch kung saan kayo nag-avail to surrender yung documents. DOn't forget to get your SOA na may nakalagay na cancelled with refund. Yun nga lang may bawas na P250 pesos yung ibabalik nila. after nyan w8 kayo tas follow up lang ulit kasi natagal bago nila naibalik yung akin. around 20 working days (meaning di pa bilang yung Sat at sun plus holiday). so sobrang tagal.

  80. ang time line ko ay, March 21 nag-avail ako. March 22, nagpacancel ako then send ng email of cacellation for LABB plus. Then follow-up na lang sa head office every two days. April 1, nakatanggap ako ng tawag na okay na. Cancelled na yung LABB PLus. May 5 ata o 8 naibalik yung pera ko (ang tagal). As for my endowment cancelled na agad sya nung March 22 pa lang pero nabalik pera ko around May 23-25 ata.

    1. Oh... di ko lang po sure kasi nakalagay sa policy yung 15days na look up period. The best you could do is have it terminated, pero masyadong mababa yung return... yung malala dyan, minsan walang pa pong cash value yun. Tawag nalang po kayo sa office nila kung ano yung marecommend nila.

    2. I just read some comment about PPLIC,,, kumuha po ako noon march 31, 2014,,, at ngaun gusto ko na I cancellation ung policy ngaun.. I made quarterly premium,,, ayaw ko na ipag patuloy itong plan na ito gusto ko e pa cancel,, maari ba ko ipa cancel ka agad?? almost 2 months 11 days after.. please reply ano po ung advice nyo...please reply asap

    3. Hello po. Hindi na po sya cancellation. You will have to terminate na po since lagpas na po sya sa 15-day look-up period. Punta nalang po kayo sa office kung saan kayo nakausap ng agent then request na ipaterminate yung plan mo. They're more strict sa mga nagpapacancel kaysa sa nagpapaterminate. Sasabihin lang naman nila na sayang po yung pera ninyo (probably to convince you to continue with it nalang). Unfortunately, since wala pa pong cash value yung ininvest nyo po sa kanila, hindi na malamang marerefund yung nabayaran nyo.

  83. I had my Endownment plan and LABB PLUS cancelled yesterday. Thank you for all the tips I got from this blog. Sa mga na biktima din ng PPLIC, check nyo lang lahat ng comments and mga links na meron dito sa blog, sobrang helpful. Another tip pag magpapacancel kayo always have a back up whether if it is your parents, close friends and relatives. Makakatulong sila sa iyo lalo na pag pinag aralan din nila yung mga policies sa contract mo. Tandaan nyo MAY LABAN KAYO! Wag kayo papadala sa non refundable na LABB PLUS na yan kasi hindi totoo yan. May 15 day grace period ang bawat policy ng insurance. NASA BATAS NA YAN. Hopefully makuha ko na within 30-45 days yung pera ko. hindi ako papayag na hindi nila ibibgay lahat. Just make sure na nakuha nyo ung statement of account ng both endownment and LABB plus plan nyo, photocopy nung letter of cancellation na ginawa nyo kasama yung written confirmation na nagsasabi kung kailan mo makukuha yung pera. Mas maganda kung papa photocopy nyo ung ID nung kung sino mang kumakausap sa inyo. Kung sila nga nakakapag request ng id nyo para pa photocopy paano pa kaya tayo d ba? MORE POWER SA BLOG NA ITO!

    3. Masmaganda po na puntahan nyo. Pero para sure po tayo, tawag nalang po muna kayo sa main office. Usually naman, yung procedure is gawa ng letter stating why you need to cancel, tapos submit nyo po sa kanila, tapos email nyo na rin IC para may copy din sila, tapos kunin you yung statemet of account (yun yata tawag dun) na may nakastamp na cancelled upon inception, tapos wait nalang po kayo ng refund. Expect it within 30-45 days minus yung 250 na processing fee nung labb plus.

    4. Follow up lang po about dun sa na receive nyo pong cheque ms haopee. Mas matagal ba kapag cheque mo na receive yung refund mo as oppose to mareceive mo through bank account. Tsaka legit naman sila mag bigay ng cheque d ba?

    5. Hello po. If my memory serves me right, manager's check po yung binigay nila. So basically, nung dinala ko sya sa BDO, I could have taken the money (kaso may 100 php na deduction kasi cash kong kinuha). As I've said po, PPLIC is a legitimate running business. Unfortunately, their procedures in coercing a customer to buy their product is plain deceptive.

    7. Nope. More than 45 days yung sa akin. Inaway ko pa nga yung agent/ receptionist na naghandle sa termination ko. Yes, I think it's faster if tawagan mo sila araw araw. I just visited their office once a week.

  84. Hi po.. share ko lng po.. kc una ngppcancel ako ng policy kaso nauwi kme sa downgrade ng policy. Aun tnanggap ko na.. ask ko lng kc ang meron ko lng ay letter of agrrement n ngpalit ako ng policy signed by their staff lng. At ung new policy ko which state dun un premium ko. Credit card po gmit ko. Bali 2x ako ngswipe then ung first swipe ko which amt to 39k and installment in 1yr un po ung dpatml mcharge back skn. Kaso until now wla pdn nbblik. Meron po b ko kulang n documents kung skali man ndi tlg nila irefund ung 1st policy ko? Thanks sna ma advce nyo po ko..

  85. Dapat po kayong tumawag sa kanila to confirm which talaga yung nakaregister na policy nyo. Kasi dapat naibalik na nila yun within 30-45 days. Tawag nyo na po sa PPLIC na office para matanong, or puntahan nyo po at tanungin bakit di pa naibalik yung 39k. Yung problem kasi, baka dahil hindi sya nacancel, baka sabihin nilang di na pwede. I pray na this won't be the case. Puntahan nyo na po kagad sa kanila to clear things. Kasi pag di mo finollow up, walang mga paki ang mga yan.

  88. Went to SM Iloilo and one of the agents from this company encouraged my friend to signed up. Sabi 45 minutes lang daw. Hanggang sa naging 2 hours. may lakad pa kami nun kaya kailangan ko sabihan ang kaibigan ko bilisan ang ginagawa niya. Hinarang kami ng dalawang babae at nag insists na hndi namin pwede lapitan kaibigan namin. Eh tengene ma la-late na kami sa meeting namin tapos kaibigan ko yan hindi niyo kami ipalapit man lang sa kanya? Masama na ang kutob ko nun. Yun pala na convinced nila ang friend ko mag down agad ng 10k kaya hndi kami pinalapit. Tama ba yun?
    Tapos ipicancel namin agad-agad. Tinanong kami kung saan kami nakarinig kung na pwede bang ipa cancel. Ganun ba kami ka bobo? Nakakainis!!

    1. Hahaha. Nakakaasar lang talaga na pakiramdam nila we're illiterate. Sa susunod, ask them if it's non-refundable. If they say yes, hingiin mo na kagad complete names nila. Ipost na natin dito para naman we could avoid these agents.

      I have posted the comments regarding this na. A lot of commentators have already attested that the plan can be cancelled as stated through anon posts on Is PPLIC's LABB Plus Refundable? Ang pinakahindi ko gusto sa kanila is ang panloloko. It has to stop!

      Call their office, ask what you need to do (and ask for requirements) to have it cancelled. Then, make sure to email your the cancellation letter to them and CC it to the Insurance Commission. Finally, don't forget na samahan nyo friend nyo para di sya maintimidate when she submits her cancellation letter. May 250 na processing fee, but as long as pasok kayo sa 15 days, they are required to refund it.

(sana dito palang naka amoy na ako), sabi ko 20k, sabi nila may e prepresent daw sila for 45 mins about sa kanilang company. TANG INA, di ko inexpect ko. mag offer sila INSURANCE daw !!!!!!, nag explain yong ahente kung ano ano about sa INSURANCE, mag kuha daw ako ng INSURANCE for 13,937, tumangi ako ng tumangi ng tumangi pero pilit sila ng pilit parang na hypnotise ako nila,ang galing nila mang loko. di ko alam kung bat ako na pa OO, pero labag sa kalunban ko. TANG INA. pang nakaka depress. gusto kung mabawi ang pera ko...

    Isip isip muna ako kung may paraan. Pumunta ako sa BDO sa SM iloilo din, para ipa CANCEL ang transaction, pero sa sabi nila sa DEBET na raw, nag advise skin ang TELLER kasi may alam daw sya tungkol sa 'philippine prudential life' pwede pa cancel yan. so bumalik sa fucking 'philippine prudential life' (with my friend na mukhang terrorista) sya ang pina ka usap ko sa Ahente, then nag Request ako nag Cancellation, tapos pinasok ako sa Office ng manager, then she ask me why daw ipa cancel. Kasi Ayaw ko. at reason din. (dapat mag tapang tapangan talaga), then sabi niya gawa daw ko ng letter, gumawa ako ng letter, then hiningi nya akong account # ko sa BDO dun daw nila e deposit. Wait lng daw ako 30-45days for process.

    Ang tanong ko? mababalik ka yong pera ko in 30-45days?

    di kaya nila e e scamin?

    1. Hello po. Sorry for the late reply. As I've mentioned sa maraming comments dito, pag lagpas na po ng 15-day look-up period (unless pinalitan nila ng 30 or 60 days which is what most insurance companies have), hindi na po sya pwedeng macancel. This means na di na sya refundable ng full.

      On my part naman po, hindi ko na sya pinacancel. I was already paying for 1.5 years or more... di ko na maremember. Basta yung total amount na nainvest ko sa PPLIC is about 39k. When I had it terminated, the total cash value of my endowment policy amounted to 10k+++

      As I've mentioned din sa maraming comments, I'm not sure if merong cash value yung pero if the plan is terminated before it's a year old. Masmaganda talaga if tawagan nyo po yung customer hotline ng PPLIC. Hopefully marereturn nila sa inyo yung 1/3 po ng nabayaran nyo.

    It's been exactly 45 working days but I will get my manager's cheque by today or by tomorrow depende kung mapapadala ng courier nila in time. (this is a refund for both endownment plan and labb plus by the way worth 25,842 pesos)

    Just want to ask if paano ang proseso sa manager's cheque? kahit saan ba pwede ko po ba ipa encash yung pera ko na ibibigay nila? First time ko kasi na makakakuha po nun.
